You thought Trouba was GOOD last night?? I'm not one of his bashers by any means but last night he was pure fencepost, guys and plays getting behind him constantly. I literally thought he was the worst Ranger. Actually, other than the magic performed by Shesterkin and Fox I was not much impressed despite the W.

Agreed. He really had a lot of trouble last night, especially late in the game. Miller wasn't much better.

If Zib can show the jump he showed in the third right from opening faceoff and Laf can gain some confidence from tonight, it will be a decent step for us.

Igor is looking like the real deal.

Team has a bit more identity and better bottom six. Defense is, I mean, probably a little better than last year? Same?

Kreider has 3G in 3 games. The problem has honestly been Zib, Bread and Strome. Also the kids still not taking tangible steps. Who would have thought Zib, Bread, Strome would be our big issue so far?

After last night would possibly take Mika off that list , he had a great 3rd and changed the game with his play on both ends of the ice. But let’s see how he does tomorrow.

Last night was a total wash. Lets be frank Chytl does not have the on ice vision or instincts to play with Panarin. There was no chemistry there last night. I know its only one game but this is Chytl's makeup. Strome fits better only because he sees the ice better but he really isn't the answer either. If we want to maximize Panarin's output they need to get a better center.

Shesty and Georgiev also don't like each other. It was too much of a competitive situation for a while.
My son is a goalie, and he loves having a "goaltending partner" - another kid he can practice with, have weird little goalie talks with, etc. Shesty needs a veteran back up, someone good enough, easy going and supportive. Too bad Khudobin is not available, he'd be great on every level.

I don’t know how true this is, but if there’s any truth at all to it, I am pissed. A lot of the drama surrounding this team over the past couple of years is centered around Georgiev, and the guy flat out sucks. If he is dragging down the performance of others, causing talented players to get shipped out, AND sucking at the same time, I mean, what are we doing with him?

I think people here focus on every little mistake in a game so much they don't see the big picture. There's mistakes by everyone on the team, some end up in the net, some don't, they are all still mistakes. Who makes them seems to mean more to some than the actual mistake. I mean Lundkvist has had a predictablly terrible start, but here we are on Miller. Nemeth hasn't been very good either. Our top 4 has been good, the bottom pair hasn't.
Sometimes you gotta look for some positives from time to time and and stop focusing on the negative because for 99 percent of that game Miller was a positive.

Panarin is the player with the vision. He is well complimented by straightforward players.

I don’t know how true this is, but if there’s any truth at all to it, I am pissed. Hopefully we trade him before a public spat emerges, we’ve been getting that order in reverse the last 2 years.

I hope we all don't take for granted the mind bending level of play of Adam Fox. The guy is just on another level. He is thinking 2-3 steps ahead of everyone else. He is the straw that stirs the drink.

I think we’re kinda spoiled by Panarin. It seems like it’s a familiar site to see people complaining about him while he’s still producing lol. I think it’s because he’s the level of player where he’s playing his own game rather than necessarily playing a team game within our system, so he is prone to mistakes. He stays on for shifts really long sometimes, tries skating into traffic so he can dangle around multiple players, throws very high risk passes, etc. but most of the time it works.

Still he has 2pts in his last 2 games, if you read other teams GDT’s they’re in awe with him. I was watching the Rangers vs Stars game with my uncle and he was impressed with all of Panarin’s passes on that PP and saying how creative he was, the player he thought didn’t look good was Zibanejad

Really no point being worried about Panarin for a long while. We all know the player he is. All top players in the league are streaky. He'll be fine.

He was following his man behind the net and got picked (though it didn't look intentional), no one picked up Druoin (Trouba was late getting back or a forward didn't do it)

It was McKegg who is the center so that’s his man anyway, he sees bothD low he needs to pick up the front of the net. Hockey 101 stuff. He just looked at him and did nothing, which is what we’ve come to expect out of McKegg anyway so.

Same. This kid has been hot garbage for a considerable period of time now. He led to buying out a franchise icon, getting a 50pt defenseman traded and contributing to a divided locker room and now possibly having a bad relationship with our starter? I can’t wait for the this mental midget to be gone.

I wish I could find a GIF but KAM had a sick play last night when he jumped around the defender then pick pocketed him. Him and Trouba get way too much hate. Trouba was arguably one of the best Rangers the first two games. Last night his mistake was getting tangled up in front of the net and taking himself out of the play, but McKegg just stood around leaving Igor to hang out to dry.

Not directed towards you because you'd agree....when Panarin gets secondary assists (one a missed shot) it's okay but when Tony D had a secondary assist everyone held that against him and his production.
