So folks, for a fella who missed the game- did Kakko get injured?

Not directed towards you because you'd agree....when Panarin gets secondary assists (one a missed shot) it's okay but when Tony D had a secondary assist everyone held that against him and his production.
Does Panarin even get many secondary assists? I remember in his first season as a Ranger he had the most even strength primary points per game since Jagr in the early 90’s!

Hopefully Kakko leaving the game was just cautionary... take some tests today to see if there's any damage.

It'd be great to see him at practice today

Same. This kid has been hot garbage for a considerable period of time now. He led to buying out a franchise icon, getting a 50pt defenseman traded and contributing to a divided locker room and now possibly having a bad relationship with our starter? I can’t wait for the this mental midget to be gone.

The 50 point defenseman was on his last strike and still blew it. If you're concerned about Georgiev's play thats one thing but there's no proof he's an issue off the ice, its generally all speculation by people who want ADA to still be here. Haven't seen one comment from anyone in the org that Georgiev is doing anything you're talking about.

Lundkvist is still looking quite nervous out there. He needs a bit more time to see if he settles down. Even on offensive chances he seems a bit too jumpy.

That said, having watched the AHL games I'm not sure any of the big three are showing they're ready to move up yet. I kinda want Jones dominating in the A. He should look like Adam Fox down there and right now he isn't doing that. But it's only been 2 games.

Shesty was the main reason the team won last night. Made every big save. The team needs to tighten up in their own zone and backchecking if they're going to win games like this. They're far too loose at times.

That said, I thought Miller had a much better game last night. At times looked better than Lindgren. Even the penalty Miller took didn't bug me. He showed the skating to catch up to Caufield and did a good job to pivot with him and get a piece of him. I didn't mind that penalty.

Reaves was impressive last night. He was a presence that Montreal seemed too aware of all game.

Its really impressive when you have two guys in your lineup who really leave a mark when they hit people. Both Blais and Reaves have made hits this season that have left opponents dinged up. And you can tell. That makes a huge diff.

Last night, Laf actually tried to beat the defender to the puck behind the net. But he was easily knocked off the puck once he got it. Then he reverted back to letting the D have possession first. I really think he needs to learn how to absorb contact. Maybe he feels like he's still too small. But honestly, he will be a different player once he is able to asborb contact and keep going. His whole game will shift.

Lindgren has not been himself imo

KAM is beginning to get back to what made me giddy when he first came up. He smothers the puck carrier

Troubadour and KAM struggle turning to skate. Troubadour is just slow and has bad recovery speed.. KAM struggles in the transition of turning. He looks awkward and flat footed. Once he is turned though, his recovery is ridiculous

Are people still thinking that TDA would be here if it wasn't for Georgiev? I though @Edge has made it perfectly clear, it was like the tenth strike for TDA. He's gone, and hopefully he has grown up and can stick to his new redeemed career.

As for Georgiev and Shesty not liking each other, two things. Number one, Georgiev is obviously still (in his mind) competing for a starter spot. Yes, he's not going to get it, he's not that good, but doesn't mean he shouldn't try. Secondly, I have a feeling Georgiev isn't that popular with the Russians in that locker room anyway, and NOT for his own fault.

When he simplifies his game, he's really solid. He just has to keep it simple and add in other aspects slowly. Nothing seems to stunt a defenseman's growth more than running around. I wish he and Trouba would just settle down and worry about making a good first pass and playing smothering D. Let the game come to them more. I think they both get in trouble when they try to do too much. Neither are great right now when caught out on an island. They should tighten up and use their size, skating and reach to shut down opponents.

I think all units will look better the more our forwards commit to D. But I mean, duh.

K’Andre and Nils are the same age. Miller looked great up until that 3rd period and hasn’t been playing defense as long as Nils has. Yet there’s no hate for Nils, but people are so quick to call K’Andre dumb and AHL worthy

We've seen far more dumb Miller than dumb Nils, so the focus goes on Miller.

It makes no sense how Georgiev assaulted a teammate and got away with it while the other teammate got the boot

What some say or don't say about Lundkvist doesn't really matter. Miller's play has been borderline atrocious. The positioning itself is very concerning and needs some time to fix.

Personally, I thought Jones and Schneider were both better than Miller and Lundkvist in camp.

Jones was certainly the best of the four.

Trouba is a gamer most nights but he’s also a liability too often.
Time to make him a 6th 3rd pair guy that he is and look to dump @ deadline / off season.

Time to breakup Ziba & Panarin on the PP

Panarin looks like Vladimir Vorbiev - did he skate this off season ?

Not sold on Nemeth — yet .

We need Kravtsov not fkn Greg mckegg and Dryden hunt - stop that bullshit now please.

Dump Georgiev asap - he’s Sather trash .

Panarin looked like Vorobiev.

Okay.

Unless I misunderstood the chart posted by Machinehead, which I certainly may have, him and Trouba were the worst players on the ice.
Yeah, I can also read the numbers, thanks. The same numbers said he was the second-best player on the ice in the Dallas game and I thought he looked better in this game, personally. I wasn't asking for someone to regurgitate numbers for me.
