Post-Game Talk: Rangers @ Caps Game 5: see you on sunday

All mistakes are magnified when offensive threats are almost non-existant.

This is the problem. The other stuff is fallout.
 
Leave it to Boyle to score a goal, and then proceed to take a penalty that costs us a goal.

We need a new coach. Enough of this ****ing quick strike offense. Attack as a team. There's 5 players on the ice for a reason. We're not quick enough or good enough 1 on 1 to win this way. And no, I've been saying this whether we win or lose.

We have the best goalie in the world who only gets scored on if it's deflected. So why the **** are we fighting tooth and nail blocking shots just so the odd one gets deflected and end up a goal? It's ass backwards logic. Oh wait, we're the NY Rangers. Everything is upside down logic.

Yeah, but those good ole boys make a measly $23,6 M this year - far more than the rest of the 11 fwds combined

No point in even getting mad. Its not like we were going to do anything even if we got past the caps. Both Washington or NY were going to get bounced in the semi's anyways.
 
So many feels for Brassard.

Best player in the playoffs, and seems like Torts killed him because of the turnover.
That's how he ruins players. If they make a mistake, he demoralizes them so hard

Nash has been horrible. either jitters or really hurt or lack of confidence.. :help: Brassard has been amazing. i can see why teams wanted him for the past few years.
 
As much as I love the kid, I'd be absolutely floored if Chris Kreider is the missing link.

It really drives me crazy that we lost this game mainly due to the Boyle penalty. That ******** call completely changed the tone of the game and tilted the ice for the Caps. I mean, it's annoying that this team didn't overcome that, but ****. That one horrible call ended up being the x-factor.

How was it a horrible call?

Boyle took a dumb, selfish retaliatory penalty.

Weak call, maybe, but Boyle should know better. Stop blaming the refs.
 
Do you guys not remember Boyle scored the first goal? Then he took a penalty. if I'm not mistaken, this is a team game. Where was the rest of the team in killing that penalty or getting another goal.
 
Just win game 7...Caps better cleanup that arena..Cause we'll be there for game 7...LGR!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Nash has to show up on Sunday. All there is to it. We gotta find some scoring again. We needed one ****ing goal to be the ones on top and put the Caps on their heels. We could have taken them at home, but as per usual they want to drag the series out as long as possible.

Moore is at fault on that OT goal. Should have easily been able to cover Ribeiro.

What? Coming from a mod? Game 6 does matter. We win game 6, we can win the series. We were one lucky bounce away from winning this game in OT. I thought Cally had a rough first half of the game, but he started to pick it up. Nash needs to pick it up, as does Richards. No doubt about it. Don't start saying game 6 doesn't matter.

It's the same people saying this BS that were saying the series was over after 2-0. relax.

But seriously. Can we sit Richards and bring over Lindberg now? At least the kid is advertised to be good defensively.

Oh sheesss....... Secondary scoring is great, all we need is one or two games where the bigshots wake up. Dude, come on. You izzzzz not that guy
