Post-Game Talk: Rangers @ Caps Game 5: see you on sunday

Played well in the first and OT. Brutal in the 2nd and 3rd. Please no more Boyle.

It really drives me crazy that we lost this game mainly due to the Boyle penalty. That ******** call completely changed the tone of the game and tilted the ice for the Caps. I mean, it's annoying that this team didn't overcome that, but ****. That one horrible call ended up being the x-factor.

What are you talking about? The call was fine and only happened because Boyle made an idiotic play in the first play. If he just keeps his stick down there is no issue. If you want to complain about calls complain about the lack of a trip/possibly penalty shot for Hagelins breakaway.

I missed the game.

Got home to see it was in OT. Rushed into the living room, turned on the tv and saw the puck going in.

The ****?

How bad was the game? I gather Nash continued to be a non-factor?

Nash and Callahan had no shots in the first 60 minutes :cry:

How about hitting the net with your shot? Callahan? Stepan? MDZ? How many freakin' shots did we miss? Callahan had a golden opportunity and shot it five feet wide from 15 feet out. That's the problem here. Not some goofy deflection off a Caps player right to another Caps player.

I actually agree with this. He did make a lot of great saves but he wasn't able to control any of the shots. He slightly bobbled everything in OT. Still the offense needs to actually hit the net when they decide to shoot..

And why does Nash do the spin around move every single time he has a one on one situation

You guys might want to actually watch the play before you comment on it. The puck didn't even get to Hank...

I don't give a flying **** that he scored, Boyle lost us this game taking that retaliatory penalty.

The only reason that ******** penalty was called was because Ribs fell to the ice like he was shot and the scum bag refs didn't call his scum bag ass for diving. That was disgraceful. I said it at the time it happened and I am saying it now.

Bad penalty by Boyle, bad coverage from More after the block...
We should have won this game

Oh, give me a break. Already we start with this garbage minutes after a 2-1 OT game?

Pretty much this. The fact that the style they play makes them WEAK too. It's a system that allows nothing but defense.,

Honestly if I never see Boyle again on the Rangers it'll be too soon. Torts benches players for way less. That selfish piece of **** took a disgusting penalty. I want this garbage POS on some other team.

Caps outworked us and deserved the win. It was the same thing in the other OT game down there. Another bitter disappointment, and another first round exit coming up. So much talent, and crummy results. 0-4 on the PP once again the biggest contributor. This game could have been over in the first period.

Guys ive told you, after games 1 and 2 that the series in NY would be different, and it was. Why?...Well i said the line changes are the difference. If the Rangers are still up for it they will win Game 6. But we gotta win one in Washington. But Torts has to Create some magic with those line changes.

Game six doesn't matter, this team cannot win on the road. They're too passive and a bunch of ****ing pansies.

0 goals from out 'captain'. 0 goals from our 'offensive star'. Every year it's the same ****ing story. I'm sick of the Rangers being a ****ing mat in the first round against the Capitals, who haven't even been that good. The Rangers just give them so much ****ing time and space. It's sickening.

Moore is at fault on that OT goal. Should have easily been able to cover Ribeiro.

Badly outplayed, like ECHL team vs. Team Soviet Union of the 70's in 2nd and 3rd periods. 2 shots in 3rd period for.

Nash continues to put a disappearing act in big stages of his career. Some players may not have the genes to up their game when the going gets tough. Maybe Nash is one of them.

Hank was really good.

nash
richards
callahan

they all have their worst game when we need them the most...exactly why this team is going nowhere...
