They have Jones and Lundkvist, both of whom are incredibly promising and probably should have been in the lineup tonight.

The issue is both don't play the style Lindgren does.

The top two lines aren't the right combos. I dont know what the combos need to be, but these aren't it.

Kakko and Chytil need to be a unit.
Goodrow or Gauth could be tried with Panarin and Strome. not sure.

And zibby has no chemistry with anyone other than Buchnevich.

Strome doesn’t fit with Kakko & Panarin because he needs the puck. Swap him with Chytil who will look to be the shooter. Strome can be the go to guy with Blais/Goodrow on line 3

Because they didn’t do this stuff to address Wilson. People said that, then got mad about it, and now are mad that it didn’t seem to be the case. The team needed to get heavier and harder aside from one incident with Wilson.

A very not-Lindgren game from Lindgren. That hurts us.

Miller and Trouba didn't necessarily tilt the ice in the wrong direction but obviously you have the mistake from Miller leading directly to the goal. Both of them are prone to that which is why I hate having them together.

Lafreniere had decent metrics. Zibanejad and Kreider were two of the worst players on the ice. I would nix that line yesterday.

Chytil and Blais were two of the most effective players on the ice. I would be running Panarin-Chytil-Blais. Give them some skill to work with.

If I'm Gallant, I've already seen enough. The lines would be unrecognizable tomorrow.

They suck. Let's not waste anymore time. It'll take time to find the right combinations as it is.

If we're going 100% on merit from training camp until now, this is what the lines should look like for tomorrow's game from line 1 through 4 and 1st through 3rd pairing in order...

overall disappointing to see the complete lack of changes to the lineup after we acquired a new coach. Fox-Lindgren I can understand but who is to say we can't balance the lineup a bit more? Trouba-Miller is a disaster yet Gerard was told on day one by Drury, this is a great pairing with a lot of upside, let's keep it, big tall defenseman yahoo!. Strome on the PP still fumbled the puck so much. Strome with Panarin still when Chytil is ready.

We brought in a new coach but kept everything the same. Dysfunction all the way from the top.

He was so invisible tonight I forgot about him. Fixed for him to be 2LW. Like I said, totally on merit so far, IMO, not considering any chemistry.

Fox and Blais looked good tonight. Kakko had some chances. That's basically it.

Tinordi and Georgiev suck. Strome and Mika were invisible. Miller was doing a Tinordi impression all night.

I said as much in the game thread. Kakko will never gel with Panarin and Strome. Laf will never gel with Zib and Kreider.

Man I said it a few times with Chytil, he looked good tonight, looks ready to breakout, and he doesn't have scorer with him. Got to give this kid a shot up top.

His injury end of last season was never quite revealed and his camp honestly stunk. If he regresses into the player that the Bruins thought he was, or even his first year with the Rangers, that's going to domino the top four.
