Last night was Tarmo Reunanen’s first pro game on NA ice, his first preseason game, and so forth.

I just have to say — I think he was remarkably poised with the puck. We have an opening at LD, I definitely don’t think we should let him go. If he is this good in G1 — how good will he be when he becomes warm in the cloths??

I love his agility and how he moves on the ice. It’s just great, he doesn’t have Gilmour’s speed but he is — tremendously — elusive.

Remember, there is nothing harder than to play D for a crap team — and last night we had a really crappy team on top of everything.

I actually think that it could be a big mistake to let Reunanen go. Let Quinn do his rotation thing. Heck, I wouldn’t rule out that Reunanen late in the year is the one lining up next to Trouba...

Kreider - Nieves - Panarin
Kreider - Nieves - Kakko
Kreider - Nieves - Buchnevich
Kreider - Nieves - Kravtsov

Skjei - Trouba
Hajek - ADA

Arguably a little too much of a good thing (just a little), but I like the way you think.

I'd rather have him than Hajek, or Lindgren on that 3rd Pairing.

Boo hoo hoo.

Enjoy your time in Philadelphia.

That's an...interesting choice. I don't begrudge anyone chasing (and getting) max dollars, but it's a pretty shoddy look to then turn around and shit on both your former team AND your former teammates (Henrik, Staal, Zib, Kreider, Skjei, Fast, and a couple more). Neither the team nor (presumably) those players did anything to Hayes to deserve that.

Hayes is a meathead always has been. And don’t get me started on his masshole video game buddy Vesey. Who cares.

As far as Reunanen I said this a week or two ago but I don’t see why we’d send him back to Europe if he has a great camp and imo he’s had a great camp. He’d be my first pairing LD in Hartford come oct. with a shot as a call up. He and Rykov are very good. Sending him back to europe does nothing for his development. Should get big mins in the A under our coaches.

Admittedly, I'm not the most familiar person with prospects, but it was news to be that he was so highly regarded prior to injuries.

I think he could have given a more stock answer "I've moved on." "I enjoyed my time there, but now am excited to be a Flyer".

He didn't need to discuss moves the Rangers have that didn't have anything to do with him.
All signing Hayes did was make sure that the Flyers stay mediocre for the foreseeable future. They are stuck in hockey purgatory.

I remember people mentioning it after he was drafted but then he fell off the radar between injuries and not getting into a lineup. He was ranked up there with Juolevi for awhile before his draft (and injuries)

If he’s playing on par with guys like Hájek and Rykov etc then I can see him sticking around. Dunno what Hartford’s LD situation is though

Joey Keane was the biggest disappointment for me in camp.

The kid seem to be struggling a bit with his mindset/confidence. When he is high he plays like a world beater and when he is struggling a lot seem to fall apart.

The talent is there. But there is a striking difference between his decision making and confidence early last year compared to this year. Hopefully he can settle down in the AHL.

Hm, thinks it’s a bit oddly reported.

“We will see how he feels” doesn’t exactly make it seem like there haven’t been any physical issue.

And when asked directly if there’s an injury the answer was an emphatic “no”. So what could be a physical issue that’s not injury related?
