I don't have a problem with Hayes' comments.

He's entitled to his perspective, and it isn't off base.

All it does is add to the rivalry.

It's a 'sticks and stones' thing to me and some seem a touch sensitive. You could look at it simply as just Hayes answering a question or as a jab at his former team but if he meant it as a jab.....if that's the best he can do that kind of falls way short IMO.

I liked Kevin Hayes but I'm a Rangers fan and he's someone else's player now and the someone else is the Flyers a team I've kind of loathed for a long time. But anyway I've moved on--prefer Trouba and Lemieux to him and Pionk anyway which is kind of what the deal turned into. If Hayes hadn't signed with us so long ago we probably don't get Trouba--so thanks a lot Kevin Hayes.

But while Nieves has been concussed and it is totally fair to bring it up, it is also fair to point out that Boo's superior skating usually avoids or minimizes these types of super heavy hits.
Problem though is concussions are cumulative. The next hit doesn't have to be so crushing.

Tee time for the Flyers. The lineup they have versus what we iced is one reason why. Nevertheless, Shesty played a nice game.

Quinn specifically said Lemieux came to camp in great shape leaned out etc. so that would be weird if he were being held out for stamina issues.

Fox and DeAngelo going at it for the 2RD:

Is he really? He married for the money.

Mercenary.
So Hayes isn’t excited to be a Flyer because he also likes the contract offer?

We don’t have to turn on him because he signed somewhere else. We traded the guy and I’m sure we weren’t even interested in renewing with him given what he was asking.

Jesus you sounds like a jaded girlfriend

Honestly Haley’s done enough to earn a contract, IMO. He shouldn’t start for the big club unless there are like 4-5 injuries to the forwards, but I wouldn’t mind him making ~700k in the AHL mentoring/sticking up for the kids.
This. 100%. I love guys who aggressively backup their teammates. The guy is so game. That has to be infectious. Makes his teammates play just a little bigger.

Hayes is a meathead always has been. And don’t get me started on his masshole video game buddy Vesey.
I don't agree with the dislike for these guys. They chose the Rangers over other teams and gave their best. The Rangers decided to end those relationships, not Vesey, not Hayes. I'm sure they both would prefer to be Rangers.

You got to think we see more cuts after last nights game. Only 3 left we should start to get an idea for which guys we’re giving a more in-depth look at.

Likely.

Next game isn't until Tuesday, so would think there would be cuts either before/after practice on Monday.

As of today, looks like:

Panarin - Zibanejad - Buchnevich
Kreider - Chytil - Kakko

Skjei-Trouba
DeAngelo - Staal
Fox - Hajek

Lundqvist
Georgiev

The bottom six forward group is a total mystery with Andersson, Howden, Strome, Namestnikov, Kravtsov, Fast, Lemieux, Nieves, Haley, and Rangers legend Greg McKegg.

Will be at the Illenium concert tonight at MSG so will have to DVR the game, but really looking forward to getting a look at Robertson in an NHL game. A bit weird though that they're putting him on the right side. Philly will be coming with a strong lineup so he'll be tested.

Illenium is amazing!! Have fun!! :)

I think Andersson has looked much better then Chytil. I find it amazing how our fan base gushes over Chytil who has done NOTHING this preseason and beats up or disses Andersson when he has been one of our best players each game he has played.

I don't think lias looks a ton faster at all to be honest...I think the biggest difference is he's constantly moving his feet...he was such a floater last year...it's why I couldn't understand the "motor" comments about him.

He's kept his feet moving this preseason and it's made a monumental difference. He also looks much stronger on the boards ..he was a big gaping black hole in the boards last season..bow he looks decent. He's not consistently winning the battles...but it's a battle now..they're 50 50. That's a big difference

I think Kravtsov will start in hartford...he's better off getting top line minutes there than bottom 6 in ny to adjust to NA....the bottom 6 will be andersson & howden as the centers and namestnikov, strome, lemieux and fast as the wingers. pick your combos...either nieves or mckegg as the 13th forward

totally agree...i think alot of him not being able to skate was actually him not skating in gliding around cause you'd watch him with sweden and he was a different guy. he seemed indecisive about what to do and that hasn't been the case in the preseason.
