so based on the projected lineup for tomorrow with haley playing in both games the following players won't play in either game:

Connor Brickley, Tim Gettinger, Dawson Leedahl, Brendan Lemieux, Sean Day, Vincent LoVerde, Darren Raddysh, Matthew Robertson, Yegor Rykov

we know that day, robertson and rykov are recoverying from injuries...but anyone know about the rest of them?
What happen to Lemieux? He was listed on a line a couple of days ago.

How long will Lundqvist be willing to play preseason games behind a Lindgren Reunanen pairing? He is 37 years old. 7 years past 30. He is not getting any younger. His contract has a full no move clause. Columbus is nice this time of year. Korpisalo. Merzlikins. Bobrovsky signed for 7 years in Florida. Bobrovsky. Montebeault. Knight.

I almost face palmed to this post but then I was like:

@Ola, still dont see the puck iq, hands and ability to make the right reads often enough.

CK has always left me wanting more. prone to long stretches of invisibility.

his production is still spotty with far too many bad decisions.

suffers from stone hands syndrome too much too.

The extent of the invisibility stints can of course be debated, but they are hard to deny and I agree for sure there. Stone hands? He is for sure behind someone like Panarin in terms of having soft hands.

My point was just, I wouldn’t hesitate putting Kreider with smart players today in fear of him not getting what they are trying to do.

Oh mother of god. Staal is going to get shredded LMAO

after that disaster that was brendan smith and the guy that used to be brady skjei the other night, and now tonight we get to see marc staal flail all over the ice, im pretty sure ADA will be laughing thinking that this team can't afford him not to play.

those 3 guys will make ADA look like scott stevens

I agree with you but when Kreider loses a step he’s a gonna end up being a 7-8 million dollar Holmstrom at that point.
How in the hell does “losing a STEP” downgrade him to Holmstrom’s much more inferior skating ability? He could lose 5 steps and would still be faster.

Kreider losing a step or two will still be faster than half this league. The guy is in great physical shape. He takes pride in it. I think the thing that goes as he gets older is his wrist shot velocity and accuracy. I think size, speed, and willingness to go to the front of the net and park himself there will continue to shine through.

I'd be just fine having Haley and Geertsen on the Pack as veterans. The Rangers have contract slots. Give them 1-way deals and put them down there. What they provide i probably more needed down there than it is at the NHL level and that Pack team is going to be loaded with young players.

I’d give Haley a 2-way NHL deal and Geertsen an AHL deal. If he doesn’t take it he’ll be in the ECHL.

Before Kreider played a game i used to hope he could be a physical Mike Gartner. Talk about high hopes... In reality he is very analogous to Bill Guerin with a little more speed. Billy G was an effective player well into his 30's, his experience allowed him to make up for the loss of speed and beat people to pucks. His shot did decline a little and that is what dropped his goal totals. Still a very valuable player til he hung up the skates.

I'd be okay with Haley getting a deal. Geertsen you could almost certainly get on an AHL contract since he sucks.

On paper it makes sense to send Kravtsov w Shestyorkin to the AHL

Add Rykov to. They’d be together. As much as I want to see him every night for us I’d honestly probably do that. Kravtsov could use a few months playing in a NA pro league to season while gorts tries to find a taker for one of namestnikov/Fast/Strome

I trust this Hartford coaching staff way more than the previous mess

Oy, that’s gonna be rough.

Real test for Chytil but I’d rather see him get some talent on his wing since the real question with him is whether or not he can make the most of the talent he might play with on the second line.

Howden hasn’t seemed to have a great camp, weird he’s 1C and paired with Buch who is the best winger of this group.

Interested to see how Reunanen and Lindgren do.

wtf happened with Chytil that in 3 days he went from centering Kreider and Kakko to Strome & Fast?

Yeah it's lines 3+4 essentially plus one of our top 6 defenders.

So It'll mostly be looking to see how Reunanen/Keane perform and look for Chytil/Howden progression.

Why would they do that? It's the preseason they are going to get as many looks as possible with Chytil at Center while the games don't matter.

It was a spontaneous reaction. I just like the idea of Strome as 2C. Of course, Chytil's development is important, but as long as Strome is here, I think he can surprise people.
