All indications from the coaches suggest Kravtsov will have a spot in the lineup. They all raved about this kid in camp. What a special talent he was. And having a leg up due to playing pro hockey. He'll start the season. It will be up to him, whether he remains.

If Kravtsov makes this team out of camp Lias Andersson will not and it’s going to upset even surprise a lot of people here.

Random but every time I see Micheal (Haley) name, I think it's misspelled. I've never seen that spelling irl and I know plenty of Michaels.

Imo Lias has been the best of Chytil & Howden. I'm still skeptical of all 3. Chytil looks like he has so much talent and skill, really hope he can put it all together as the next few years go by and especially with his size. I didn't want to draft LA but if he can be ROR I would be very happy and happily eat any crow. Howden hasn't stood out in any particular way to me. Just like a Stepan-type player, but I think he needs AHL time as well.

Ya think Practice group A will be the lineup on Tuesday? Would like to see Kravtsov, and Kakko together again this time with Howden.

I have been saying this all along. Will be tough for Lias to make it out of camp. Howden beat him out last year. And now with a year of NHL experience, will make it even tougher on Lias to overcome.

I will never understand why Howden is given a million opportunities while Quinn keeps shafting Lias.

Because one guy flashes skill and speed and upside and one doesn’t. I know that isn’t always agreed upon here on these two guys but it’s obvious the coaching staff sees it this way.

In fairness I said it Lias played a very solid game in NY but I read here he was so good in philly and I watched the replay twice and he was not good at all. He struggled.

He’s gotten in shape looks quicker but the skill is not there. Look I think he’s bottom 6 nhler for sure on will alone, and I wish we moved 90 or 16 or 17 to have him on this team, but he’s certainly not better than Chytil or Howden. That’s crazy talk.

Yep. Organization values the raw talent in Chytil and Howden to a lesser extent, and it sees Lias providing the things he brings to the table. Future leadership material and grit, with some skill.

Micheal is kind of common in Ireland and Haley is an Irish name or at least quite often. I wouldn't be against signing Haley but I don't see a spot for him on our roster now--he'd have to go to Hartford.

Does Howden really flash skill? I dont know I'd say him and Lias have shown about a similar amount in that regard. I can't say anything about the Philly game because I was unable to watch but in the NJ game I thought he was one of our best players. Also while I agree is not better then Chytil, what has Howden done to say hes better than Lias. Both are atleast on a similar level to one another.

I wonder if DQ already knows what his plan with Lias is, and is giving Howden another top chance to prove something. In the first preseason game, he was...uh...not good.

This may not strictly be DQ thinking Howden > Lias.

I’d like to repeat as well. I’d keep Lias here’s over Kravtsov and let Kravtsov cook a few months
Now who's with the crazy talk? LOL! Only kidding,... somewhat. Would Kravtsov benefit from a month on a smaller rink with reduced competition? Yes. But he too skilled to leave behind. He is gonna get first crack and rightfully so.

Still three games left to show what they can do. Looking forward to seeing that 2nd line tomorrow.

Edit: Panarin won't play tomorrow. Wishful thinking. You don't come back in a couple of days from any groin pull, no matter how slight. They should play it safe. But if he is practicing today, then maybe he will play? Every groin pull I ever had, and I lived with them for many years, would linger at least a month.

I mean Howden has clearly shown more skill and upside at the nhl level than andersson has at either the ahl or nhl level.

The pts show it the eye test show it, if you fundamentally don’t agree then arguing with u about it will just give us both headaches. But Howden as a first year pro put up like what 25 points in 60 something games? That looks at least like at worst a future 40 pt third line center with size and skating ability. That is nothing to sneeze at.

Lias has not shown that upside yet.

I don’t know if Howden’s flashed more skill than Lias rather than flashing production, and that could be due to opportunity, but I really don’t feel like arguing all this again

Pretty clear to me that if Lias was a Tampa pick and traded for and Howden was taken 7th overall by this franchise we wouldn’t be talking much about Lias Andersson over Brett Howden

RE: Lias and the ongoing 'bottom 6 future only' & ROR comps:

It took a long time for ROR to become that Conn Smythe guy.

Give it time, he is already respected amongst the leaders of that locker room.
