If they were to win this series in 4, way too much time off. SCF rumored to start June 4th.
The schedule has been horrible. One extreme to the other.
Not happy about that.

Nah, the team that wins deserves to win. Rangers deserved to win Game 2. Rangers did not really deserve to win tonight.
I don't understand why there isn't more outrage on this board with those two HUGE missed calls in the first? It really killed our momentum in the game. Also, I can guarantee, there will be NO supplemental discipline handed down to Prust on that cheap, dirty, ******** hit!
Montreal had 2 flukes out of 3 goals and we outplayed them all game. Saying that every team that wins deserves to win is lazy and is usually done so fans don't feel so bad about losses that they outplayed the other team and feel better about wins where they were outplayed.
boston was the better team as well. this is why the doubt is setting in. Can Montreal get through 2 rounds being outplayed, outclassed, outworked and playing garbage hockey? Or better yet, can they win a cup like that? It's crazy, but it almost seems like the answer is yes when it comes to them. I don't recall ever seeing a team in the playoffs play as bad as them and going this far.. where does it stop? That's why tonight's result is concerning.
I get that and yet there is a reason WE are the one's up 2-1 having won two games at their barn. Reason IMO is because overall, we are a better hockey team than them...simple as that. So you and the rest of the Negative Nancy's can keep thinking the other shoe is about to fall and meanwhile I'll look at the facts which are we are not the Bruins, we are playing excellent team hockey, we have the greatest goalie on the planet and we have the next game at home where we'll win and go ahead 3-1.
And you know what's kind of funny, even if we win 3-1 the Negative Nancy's will still come out and say "ok cool we won tonight but you know Montreal is going to be desperate and they'll probably win Game 5 at the Bell Centre where we'll than have a "must game" at home for Game 6 and if we lose that game than we are finished cause no way we can win Game 7 at Montreal especially considering how much confidence they'd have.". I'm serious, I can tell already this is going to be the dialogue that is going to be occur even if we win Game 4.
Whatever, the Negative Nancy's can keep doing their thing and keep worrying. I'll on the other hand look at the reality of situation which is we got beat tonight on some fluky bounces, we weren't going to sweep them, we are the best team, we have tremendous heart and we have our destiny firmly in our hands. Can't wait for Sunday when we take care of business and go up 3-1 and than read about how Habs are going to come back and beat us anyways...lol
was watching highlights of that series the other day on youtube. i think it was john madden who was behind the net and centered it and it went off a ranger skate and in. it may have been staal. we never get bounces like that in playoff overtimes, so frustrating.

Game 7 ECF 1994.
As a fan this was crushing because it was so quick into OT. We just tied it rode the emotional high through the TV timeout and it was over in a minute. But in reality, if we take care of business in Game 4, we're up 3-1 going back to the Bell.
Just got back from the game. Tokarski was much better than he was in Game 2 but the Rangers did not do themselves any favors by continually missing wide and not pouncing on rebounds.
The ice was pretty bad, lots of pucks bouncing over sticks and whatnot.
Hagelin was far and away the best forward on the ice, and St. Louis was pretty good as well.
The PP was back to its lousy self, and Richards was a big contributor to its suckage. He better not blame it on "trying to impress the fans at home" again. Not a fan of using Moore-Girardi on the points on the second unit.
Can't believe the officials missed Prust's hit on Stepan. What's even more disturbing is how dirty Prust has become since leaving the Rangers. He did not play that way with us, I guess Torts may have kept him in line. Really disappointing to see him go after a former teammate like that, I've lost a lot of respect for him.
Not panicking about tonight. Tokaraki stood on his head. Two days off between game 2 and 3 benefits Montreal. Two days off after a loss benefits us. I'm confident we'll come back refocused and ready to win on Sunday. The extra day off also doesn't allow Montreal to carry momentum over from tonight.
The difference in shot totals sort of mask the actual play. I don't think the Rangers really played that impressive of a game. Did we have more prime scoring opportunities? Yeah, no doubt about it. Did Tokarski find a way to make some big saves? Yeah, of course. Bottom line is that this game came down to a flukey goal in OT. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth, but this is how hockey goes sometimes.
We've been down before after a tough loss and have responded. I have no doubts we will come to play on Sunday. Montreal is a good team...let's not forget that. But we are a better team and will play like it on Sunday. No way Tokarski shuts us down again...we will put more pressure on the rookie and get some in.
We can't expect to win each game on the road to the SC. There will always be adversity in each series. If we are a good team (which we definitely are), we will overcome it.
During Prust's last season with the Rangers, I was very disappointed in him because he took the easy way, dropping his gloves for the cheap easy fight. Gone were the shorthanded goals, he just turned into a boring goony guy. The 'stick up for your teammates' thing became totally corrupted. Most of the time, Prust invented and manufactured those situations
It was good when he made his own exit from the Rangers. Good riddance. Hope his phone rings.
Hagelin was my favourite Ranger tonight.
Richards was not very good.
Prust needs to get suspended...He was .9 late with that hit and it was all intent
Dreger says he thinks Carcillo will get 10 or 20 game suspension. Carcillo should have actually popped the linesman and gotten his money's worth if that's the case.
Yeah, I felt the same way about Prust his last season here. He showed no discretion in who he chose to fight, and while sometimes it's admirable to stand up to bigger guy, he really should not be fighting the Andy Suttons of the league. He was also more undisciplined that season. Even so, I never thought he had it him to pull a Matt Cooke and do what he did tonight, just disgusting behavior.
Yet this is all we will hear about.
“@DarrenDreger: If Carcillo receives 20 gms, officials would have deemed he intended to injure. 10 gms is applied when there is no intent. Serious situationâ€
