How did Kravstov get hurt? How long is he out for?
was roughed up a bit by Hedman along the boards. Upper body injury. Not sure if it was mentioned how long he will be out.
seems like 2 of our top 3 RW are made of glass.

Yeah but that was mostly driven by 1) special teams play and 2) Kravtsov leaving and Gallant alternating Goodrow between the bottom lines. Lafreniere and Kakko were #1 and #3 in EVTOI tonight, respectively
I know this, but this is one of my issues with them not getting significant special team time. If they continue to get super limited pp minutes then at least start breaking them in to pk as well. It's just frustrating bc you're looking for a guy like kakko to start playing the way he was in the 1st and then he ends up on the bench. He played about 6 minutes over the final two periods. He played over 7 mins in the first period. That's ridiculous, and I've been a person hard on kakko. He's finally GOING and he basically gets benched.

I agree and I've been on this since Kakko's rookie season, but all the same, since it's obviously not gonna change, I'm just happy to see him and the two others continuing to improve and play the minutes they get better and better

The rangers had a ton of penalties in the second and third. He’s currently not on the rotation to kill. And gallant was trying to get the first pp going.
That said he was on the ice as soon as it was 5v5, as was Laf and then Chytil.gallant played them all with 5m left, that shows trust.
Last season he’d be shortening the bench significantly

No respect for Hedman. Appears as if he was trying to injure a player in a vulnerable position.
Im not sure about that. I kinda saw it like he was just trying to keep him down and pinned, but he was so much noticeably stronger and developed than Kravstov that it looked like that. Hedman is a huge dude and Kravy, while tall, is lanky and has a ways to go in the strength dept. Plus he was in a really weird position. I dont even think Hedman noticed how vulnerable he was.

Just got back from the game. One play that I felt that went unnoticed by people in my section was Panarin’s defensive play in the first period. I think it was about to be a 2 on 1 and he forced the puck handler to take a shot that Igor can easily save. I think it went wide anyway but I don’t remember the details of that.

As the person who complains more about GG ice time for Kakko than 99% of posters, I had no problem today. Just a weird game. He's gotta get on the PK soon though cause he will make it even better.

i would be upset but the whole game was spent on special teams it feels like. I do feel like without Laf and Kakko , Chytil struggled
Agree on both. They know they were sitting because of all the special teams. Laf and Kakko are no longer playing like kids. They are playing like full grown NHL men. They know there job and they just go do it. Chytil is almost there too but not quite yet. Turk loves the way Laf and Kakko are playing . He won't let them sit much.

This would have been a blowout bad it not been for Vasi. Schneider was unremarkable; Jones more than made up for that disappointment. No one really got themselves on my shit list. Except Hagel. Screw that guy.

At least that’s how I saw it in person. Obvious exceptional performances from 93 and 31. Was also very pleased with 24, 10, 20 and 8. Some good flashes from 13 and 72.

Came out with a sense of purpose.

Most pleasantly surprised with the 4th line actually. Did a good job with puck posession.

Zac Jones really impressed me overall. So happy he is up with the NYR.
Such a breath of fresh air to start a season with 3 competent pairs after having to watch the likes of Nemeth, Tniordi, and Jack Johnson the past couple of years.
