for sure sees what he wants to, i probably see more good signs from QB because I am looking for them

I mean maybe but the criticisms in this thread are wholly outdated and from the usual suspects.

Byfield is constantly making + plays now, assertive and aggressive and an absolute nightmare on the forecheck, he's got Chris Pronger's reach getting his stick on pucks and ruining plays and can choke slam Hedman without breathing hard. He's getting in hard on the wall and cycling frequently. The points are just starting to come but he's often the one starting the play right now, there's a reason Kopitar and Kempe are suddenly resurgent and we're excited, even his most vocal critics on the Kings' forum are saying "...okay, fine. Now we just need big production."

Which is why it's annoying we have to relive this thread every single week.

his ability to steal the puck from behind opponents has been pretty impressive

I think Byfield might break out soon. He’s shown a lot of IQ in his game as well as other key tools. He needs to fill into his frame a bit more and I think he will be really solid.

@Raccoon Jesus my account hasn’t been hacked btw
Not sure what is meant by "break out". When I hear that term I think of fantasy sports, so like starting to put up points.
I think he has been doing well in each role he has been put in this year. So is already a solid contributor.

Watched the Kings game tonight, the only time I heard the announcers call his name was when he lost 2 consecutive board battles. Thankfully he won the third battle. Then immediately flipped the puck out of play for a penalty.

I hope the Kings keep him.

Reminder to thank Ryan Clowe for playing the puck from the bench back in 2012. Your Sharks went on to win that game in the SO. LA went on to become the first No. 8 seed to ever win the cup. Thanks Clowe!

Let's go to 2014. Still too soon? That reverse sweep is still talked about on the daily. Not just by Kings fans, but also your fans (see video below - careful, there is a lot of heart break in there).

You must have been dying for recess to start so you could post that.

Ah yes, the 20 year old 2nd overall pick still growing into his 6’5” frame currently playing on our top line with 6 points in his last 8 games after going point per game in the AHL for a quarter of a season once he got healthy doesn’t fit in and is clearly a fringe NHLer.

While you’re at it, why don’t you just send us your fringe prospects like Rossi or Wallstedt. We’d love to “take a flier” on them.
You just legitimately served the OP. Well done.

I’ve been given very reliable information on the condition of anonymity that Byfield is a Coyote come Monday
