Value of: Quinton Byfield

Multiple injuries and illnesses have hampered his pro start but he seems healthy and is playing on Kopitar's wing. Points are coming. He is still raw and may never be a Kopitar replacement. He will be his own player tho.

The Wild do have a Goalie prospect that ought to be appealing.
Add the Wilds 1st and another top prospect and maybe it stirs the pot

he's only traded, if at all, for comparable upside and youth, at a position of need
some posters keep saying LAK need a good solid LD w size,
so maybe a guy like Guhle from Habs, because LAK have such a deep pipeline up front
but both teams probably just as happy to stand pat

He has 2 goals in 23 games. If that's turning it around, then people have very very low expectations.

Edit:

oh look, here comes the usual good faith discussion from the usual Sens fans

Yes, those 23 games were interrupted by him losing 20 f***ing pounds..."turning it around" means what he's done since returning to first the AHL, then NHL, then ascending to the first line, and now scoring at a 60 point pace over the last little bit and looking very much the part doing so while getting better every game. He's even starting to get annoyed and throw big hits, laying out Hedman last game and someone else the previous.

Sometimes things are more granular than you can handle apparently, and yes, it would be absolutely nonsensical to move Byfield now as he's taking large steps towards his pre-draft expectations.

After the last Byfield thread, and all the King fans said that people keep making these threads even though we tell them he's not available. So I made a mental note to watch for it.... They were right, it's the exact same thing just a different team trying to get him for peanuts.

big guys take a while to develop. Just imagine if LA let vilardi go, instead of giving him more time. And byfield is like 10x more talented.

Yep and as recently as training camp/beginning of the season some posters even in this thread were convinced, no matter what we said, that Vilardi would be available on waivers or for a depth pick.

LA hasn't invested this much in Byfield to walk.

You have a weird obsession with the Sens. Lol

By is not going anywhere anytime soon
IF IF IF he were, it would be for a package w/adds both sides and KAM going the other way; HOWEVER, right now KAM is established and By is not, so even THAT is not a discussion anytime soon.

As a Wild fan, I’d love to take a flier on him.

Seems like he doesn’t fit in LA or is a fringe NHLer?
Kings fans won't want to give him up because of potential he had when drafted and the 2nd overall investment. But wow has he ever been underhwleming at the NHL level
