Everyone else left is ASS. McCabe and Liljegren maybe in the same role as Brodie when healthy.

We can’t fix this defence over the course of the season. If we make a move for a defencemen, it needs to be one with at least 2 years or more.

Brodie is a good #3 d who need to play as #2 because leafs had nobody for it

Mccabe/liljegren are 4th/5th who need to play as 3rd d and right now with both injured its gio and klinberg who need to play like it...

Just add an Hanifin... brodie become where he should be as 3rd... mccabe and liljegren as 4/5th gio or timmins as 6th/7th and maybe they could trade klinberg in the same trade than Hanifin to balance cap hit....

Sure when everyone playing in the wrong chair except rielly, everyone was looking worst than what they really are except rielly...

I was referring to McCabe and Lily. McCabe has only played 6 games and one shift of the 7th. The D is over taxed big time. Gio started off the year playing 15 minutes per game. He’s been averaging over 20 since McCabe went out. it’s not a good defence particularly but it’s been much worse since the injuries. It’s also the same D corp as last year except Klingberg who sucks replaced Holl who wasn’t much better if any.

You'd have to also think if they were missing blueliners and dressing Marlies they'd at least try to simplify back there but seems like they have 6 guys ice dancing on the blueline doing Lidstrom to Rafalski impressions.

Gio and Brodie make a lot of weird little plays, like they take the extra beat and the screw it all up. How much of that is Keefe?

Hanifin would be that replacement and push McCabe down but idk his cost and if we’d be willing to part with what they want

I think a lot of leafs fan really underrated impact of jake Muzzin had in this team and start slowly to realize it

Marner, really good player, should fetch a hefty returning ease our cap issues. Set everything else up and wait for McDavid to come home and sign the contract. Easy.
