We've been playing goalie roulette for 4 years and this year we finally hit bankrupt. We've missed out on deals for muzzin ( 2 years ago) and Brodie this year that we could have made ourselves better with. We scrambled last year at the deadline to win a round and have been burning picks like crazy. I wish Marner didn't have a no move. That would be great to get rid of right now. I don't think we can sign either him or willy we need to drastically change the team

Awful defending and horrific goaltending.

At least we have our 1st this year boys. Too bad next years is conditional for Jake f***ing McCabe lol.

Well, we actually spent over $14 million on Reaves, Klingberg, Domi and Bertuzzi. So the good news is there will be money to do things this offseason.

The bad news is we might be the ones falling out of a playoff spot and probably want to be smart with asset management to set ourselves up for the next couple of years. I'd rather they pull the plug on this year than try to fix everything with this roster by depleting the picks and prospects we still have left.

I feel like they licked their lips as soon as marquee free agents became available.

Stamkos was their first target, then Tavares.

Would have preferred a plan that didn’t hinge on throwing a huge percentage of cap at a free agent.

Im still telling it, leafs need to do everything they can for noah hanifin and extend him like 8 year around 6,5M... if they need to give exemple a 1st and minten just do it... leafs will never be a serious contender until they fix that huge problem

They need so much that guy who can play behing rielly and create a stability in this D. Right now the only d playing i the good spot is rielly... its hard look fine when 5 of your 6 D dont play where they should...

They need a rock for 2LD. Missing muzzin really badly. McCabe just isn’t that

Hanifin would be that replacement and push McCabe down but idk his cost and if we’d be willing to part with what they want

I never worry about poor stretches of play because the season always has it's ups and downs.

This year it is different as it is worrisome the Leafs are so poor at home.

It would be difficult to ask the top 2 lines to produce more and too often it is not enough.

BT has some tough decisions ahead on how to shore up overall team D.

McCabe and Lily returning and hopefully Timmins should help quite a bit, but they still were giving up 4 or 5 with them in tje lineup

It's crazy to me that defensemen like Hampus Lindholm, Mattias Ekholm were made available, exchanged hands and the Leafs didn't bother with the upgrade while they had declining assets like Muzzin and Brodie on the books. At the time I said we needed a succession plan on both those guys, vigilantly monitor their decline. Yet we still used up all our futures on random stuff. Blah.
