old man player like panarins needing to taking reponsibilities at playing time. he needing to stepping aside and maybe saying off thing at his contract? meaning if there is something there saying he must playing as much he wants, he must be at ice when opponent goal empty is etc etc.

Hajek and Georgie were not awful. The weakest links on the team played pretty good. Nashville looked like the Rangers when Torts was coaching them. Six goalie system with the actual goalie being outstanding. Reminded me of a playoff game.

I hope this is finally the season the top two lines learn how to play against these interference teams. As the season progresses these teams improve their interfering game by game and in the playoffs the refs don't call anything. Hope GG can break through with them.

I thought we had the better of the play in the 2nd and 3rd and the better scoring chances. The refs and Sauros were the biggest reasons we lost by a goal.

You're supposed to have a record that good against lottery teams, not sure why it's being looked at as evidence of the team being a pretender (not saying that's what you're doing just the general sentiment).

This team has had a lot of travel and a really weird schedule that takes a toll. Some of the teams that would be listed in the non-playoff team category are also bubble teams and play well. It's not like in today's NHL we can look at the difference between playoff/non-playoff teams as being incredibly stark outside of the few outliers on each end.

That record against playoff teams will improve. You play .900 hockey against non-playoff teams and break above .500 against the better teams and that's perfectly fine.

I came here hoping to see some discussion about how we feel when the team plays well and loses. There’s been a whole bunch of consternation about playing poorly and winning, so I was curious to check the temp.

And now I see that people think they played badly? The game was even at best. Saros stole it, and they got away with a lot of nonsense.

Georgiev and Hajek looked fine. Mika needs to shoot the f***ing puck. Hunt is great on the Bread line. My best friend Chytil needs to hit the net.

Hitting a bit of a rough patch here. Will be quite telling to see how they respond.

Mika just seems to go invisible for stretches. He hasn't been the same ever since COVID. Whether it's his body or his mindset, I don't know.

Hajek looked good for a guy who hasn't played all year.

Also, Gallant needs to really play both Power Play units.

This is why expected goals is bullshit. Great in theory but every site has different stats.

One factor is that your numbers included PP, and the NYR had an extra PP which was generally dangerous. Can close the gap quickly.

The 5v5 on Moneypuck was 1.6/1.2...or 57%/43% so decently close to natural stat trick tho still off.
