We were the better team on the back half, but the preds played a perfect road game and got the big saves when they were needed. Refs sucked but what else is new.

I can't believe we are stuck with Mika for as long as we are. Absolutely disgusting.

Nashville stronger and faster for the most of the night.
We generated some nice chances by Soros did what he needed to do.

To have none of 72, 13 & 24 contributing offensively is a real worry. At some point some these younger forwards need to start contributing on a regular basis

I thought Hajek looked okay honestly. For his first game of the season he was overall solid.

They’re absolutely going to have to make a trade for another Top 6 RW. I like Kakko with Strome and Panarin, Zibanejad and Kreider need a line mate to complete their line.

Chytil is a real disappointment. They need him to take his game to the next level, and he just hasn’t. He’s really skilled, but has no finish at all.

Nashville bigger and faster seemed like a group that’s played together for awhile.

We really need a scoring RWer badly.

Their goalie carried them, we came on strong from the halfway mark and blanked us.

Nashville plays the most basic game you can play. Crash bang crash, six goalie system, block everything including interfere if you have to. There was not one skill play from them in 60 minutes.

Anyone else see Strome bang the puck around the boards behind the net towards Panarin when he had more time to make a better decision.

He really is a dumb dumb most of the time.

That play made me lose it.... he had tons of time. Was a terrible play not to mention he had fox behind wide open

I think Kreider-Zibs-Goodrow worked.

Put Kakko back with Bread.

I'd switch Hunt and Lafreniere. Give him a shot again up top and Kreider to RW. Kreider makes his bread on the power play anyway and he looked passable on the right side at even strength.

I just can't be convinced the Rangers wouldn't likely have tied the game had Rooney drawn a penalty there. Fox got leg tripped by Josi, then it took the ref two zones away to finally call it the second time it happened. That's three off the top of my head that were so unambiguous, happening right in the middle of the action, not extremely fast, and directly in the sightline of a nearby referee that the same ref doesn't call. Rangers get two more tries on the PP and this game is very very different.

Ugh. I shouldn't have tried to quit smoking on a Rangers gamenight.

brainfartcoach. not watching game. i read scoreboards statistic from where i made analysis to here. sam ol. panarins playing 23 minits, kakko 11. they feed clownlookalike with icetimes and there like nothing more to be exoecting from anything else. how in world kakko get going here with this limits in icetimes and he seeing other like 3 a yearyonger players getting 1st line threatment around country and rich in icetimes while kakko a still suffering with low wave icetimes. all this as him 3rd season passing by. i say this. this player maybe already being transform until something else. ...im sorry is there hockeyplayer cemetary at MANHATTAN since like many moon ago?= im getting really frustrating with shit aorund here.

Agreed. Not a good effort outside of 10 or so minutes in the 2nd.

If you're going to bench your 1OA pick just trade him. Let him play and grow elsewhere, especially after the effort he's been showing lately.

And put Kakko back on the line he was thriving on.

That game falls on coaching 100%.

I've been a Kakko stan forever, but he wasn't playing well at all the whole game. I didn't have a problem with him sitting. Problem is we don't have any talent on the RW otherwise.

I have lost faith that 72 will ever be a top line player
Maybe we include him in a trade for some rental

Kakko and Chytil had a nice shift together. They just gel for whatever reason. GG not going to be happy with the team after this game. Refs let these teams get away with constant interference. This is nothing new. They can't expect them to bail them out with pp chances. They gotta mix in some more shots while dive bombing the crease. They need to balance the offense a little more against these type of teams. It's not pretty but it's what works in these games.

No ones got more patience for Fil than me, but he's producing less than Kakko AND Laf. He needed to take a step forward but so far he's going the other direction. With Strome's perceived value rising, Chytil's playing his way off this team sadly.

Our top 6 needs top 6 players and Lafreniere shouldn't be playing with 2 guys who couldn't put the puck in the ocean.

I could understand this complaint if he was actually setting them up, but he doesn't. He's a non-factor most of the time.

It takes a few of these dead games for Gallant to realize he can't let 1/2 the roster suffer because he wants a look or balance.
