Post-Game Talk: Post Game, Jets Sens

Well that wasn't really my point but we have a Vezina-winning goalie and probably 5 top-50 forwards. The only weakness is defence although that's gradually improving since the great purge.

Goalies are a dart board. We had a scout who saw talent and it developed.

The rest are 1st rounders. That's it. Who's our biggest non 1st round success outside Helle? Copp? Lowry? We either can't find quality talent or can't develop it outside the 1st round.

We make great picks in the 1st for the most part. I don't know if it's a lack of scouting, a lack of development, or what, but something is wrong.

We can find some fourth liners though that's for sure.

Yeah, Morrissey getting a star is a little weird. He did some nice things toward the end of the game but Brossoit was solid all night.

My post was aimed at those that don't have a lot of positive things to say about their hockey team.
I think it's worth calling out when you consider the cesspool our GDT's turn into when we're only 3 games into the season.
Hockey discussion and banter is disappearing from this board and that's partly due to this infection.

I think it's worth calling out and if you feel it was a little over the top, join the club - there's a lot of that going around.

The same could easily be said for people who have blind faith and think everything is fine as well. I'm totally fine with the criticism and I'm totally fine with people who have blind faith. I think most of us are open to criticism and love discussion actually.

On a side note, if people don't like it - just ignore us. Then you don't have to see our posts.

I’ve been asked to leave this forum, told I’m from Finland and many other remarks that are uncalled for. The judgemental posters are the only problem in here

I think our top line got its act together and controlled a lot of that game when it mattered.

I don't like Mo's personal decisions. He is going to gas some of our players halfway through this season

Hopefully Ehlers gets over whatever illness he has soon. First game he looked unstoppable but these past 2 he's struggled mightily. Great to get his first OT winner, it's amazing he hasn't gotten one before.

No idea, from NHL.com it shows Morrissey, Galchenyuk and Norris as the 3 Stars. But Connor would make a lot more sense than Morrissey.

Its not the dmen though that are bungling that, its the forwards who are more often then not messing things up once they get the puck from the dmen.

But yes having another pure puck mover will help a lot once the forwards clean things up.

Honestly, it’s both. A lot of our defensemen lack the hockey IQ to make decisions quickly. We get gutted by forecheck. Morrissey was hideous in this regard tonight.

Well I mostly agree one shouldn’t go around being a clown on here, I think it’s pretty unfair to criticize people for being vocal about their displeasure with the team. Many of us pour a lot of our money and time into this team, so it’s frustrating when things don’t go well. People should be allowed to be negative.

I’m a Jets fan and I’m glad we got the win today but that was one of the worst performances I’ve seen by the team in a while (along with last night’s game, but I actually thought we were worse tonight).

2nd line with or without Laine don't get as much ice time. I dont get it.

3rd line huge minutes today. Probably not the norm.

Jets have probably the best top 6 with Laine on it.
3rd line can be great also if Copp Lowry can find a dance partner. Hopefully one that is more offensively gifted.

They should make the playoff with this roster.

They cant play like that always and expect to pull it out at the end. That was this team was doing 2 season ago. Thinking we can out talent other teams.

It defeats what they want Laine to do. And become.
It similar to what my post earlier about. Schiefele.

Kyle Connor and Patrik Laine on your team you will always almost not out of the game each game.

This season will be fun
