I have watched a few other games and I have to say I have yet to see two teams playing well at the same time in a game. The hockey has been really disjointed.
it's a combo of modern day hockey, lack of crowds, lack of training camp.
i have no qualms turning these games off. but the quality of NHL hockey's been declining over the past few years.

Coaching has gotten in the way and has taken a lot of the creativity out of the game.

I loved the skill of the 90's. The games were exciting and there was lots of creativity. Hockey today is all about restrictive and rigid conservative systems.

There are a few teams that have modern and outside the box thinking but for the most part teams just do the same old same old risk adverse schemes.

I have a hard time watching other teams play outside the Jets.

All the shot blocking, collapsing to the front of the net, and getting into shooting lanes has made NHL hockey much less watchable for me.

The call on the ice was a goal, they don't check unless the ref has doubt. It was missed and Ottawa had every right to challenge but didn't.

Well, the challenge would not be ”coaches challenge”. They can shout for ref to take a look but you can’t use challenge to check if the goal was scored with a high stick.

Hmm, I thought it was challengeable but I could be wrong.

I feel reasonably confident that we can make the playoffs if a few things fall into place.
I'm very confident that Hellebuyk and Broissoit can do their job.
If our defence is healthy, I'm very confident that Morrissey, DemeLo, Pionk, Forbort, Heinola, Poolman, Samberg, Boolyoo can be effective.
I'm very confident that Connor, Stastny, Ehlers, Laine, Lowry, Copp, Appleton, Thompson, Lewis and Harkins can do what is expected of them.

For me, the question marks are Scheifele and Wheeler.
If they can be consistent threats offensively, and not hurt us on defence, I think we are fine. If not, we may not have enough firepower to outscore some teams.

And, I've left Perreault off because I don't think he contributes much positively to us.
