How isn’t he? Look at his college production relative to Knies. He was far and away his teams leading scorer (18 more goals than his next closest teammate). Knies is having a great season but plays with two guys who are better prospects than him as well. That has yet to be determined.
Cannot be speaking in absolutes with regards to opinions.
This AM 'make it count' commercial is really something, quite haunting really.
Better offensively for sure, but Knies is miles better defensively and physically. I'd take the step down in offense for a much bigger and much more responsible player for the playoffsI love Knies as much as the next guy, but Caufield was 100% a better prospect at the same age.
He was putting up nutty numbers.
This a great example and definately makes more hopeful for KniesFunny enough, Chris Kreider is the perfect example. He also happens to be a best case scenario for Knies' development path.

Why dress him for one game in Calgary? My guess for today is that the Leafs' will flip Gustafsson for a pick .. not much else
Doesn't seem to be a clear target available to help up front
Really surprised that Klinberg hasn't been dealt yet
Is this one of those 'not sure if serious' posts?
Knies is a Leaf which automatically tips the scales that direction.Huh?
How can you come to any conclusion BUT that?
He was one goal shy of a goal per game in college that season. He paced for 46 goals this season before he got injured.
He was undoubtedly better than Knies as a prospect and absolutely proving it with his NHL production so far.
Bunting - Mathews - Marner
Tavares - Orielly - Nylander
Namestnikov - Kampf - Jarnkrok
Knies - Acciary - Lafferty
Kerfoot
He is 5'8.
We don't need another Kerfoot.
He's def not another Kerfoot. Hasn't had the offensive season this year but he's far feistier than Kerfoot and the idea of grabbing a TB player this year for some tactical advantage, is appealingNamest is another Kerfoot man maybe even softer. No thanks

Yeah size doesn't mean a whole lot, you need players who can play aggressive and not shy away from contractAdds speed and depth. If he's cheap and retained, he's not a bad option at all. His size isn't ideal but he has 2 cup rings and works hard. It isn't always about size, it's about compete.

The fact that Tampa dumped him when they are going for the cup AND they retained salary should tell you everything you need to know about the player. He's def not another Kerfoot. Have they not learned that these deadline shows are a bad idea given most moves happen ahead of time anyway?
They should just replay wild highlight packages over the last 30 years and injected when trades happen with some analysis (depending on the size of the move)
