He would be a good coach if he still has it in him.He would wonders for the defence. Especially the younger guys
Staios should take over the GM role. As for coaches, I am not sure who would be the ones to consider at this time. Any suggestions and rationale?
Because Tampa aren’t likely going to let him go 2 weeks into the seasonI’ve been away, can someone explain why Darche hasn’t replaced Dorion yet ?
Too late in the off season and no particular reason to fire the incumbent yet are my guesses. They didn’t come in guns blazing on any front so no surprise really.I’ve been away, can someone explain why Darche hasn’t replaced Dorion yet ?
Darche has a contract with another team and it is likely that contract prohibits him leaving his current team during the season.I’ve been away, can someone explain why Darche hasn’t replaced Dorion yet ?
That is one rational and logical option. However it does not rule out earlier changes if the team does not perform as desired or expected.Too late in the off season and no particular reason to fire the incumbent yet are my guesses. Patient, measured decision making is important, and I bet they wanted to make sure they were respectful of all the employees. It now looks like PD did a pretty good job this off season managing the Pinto situation and making sure we had a roster filled with NHL talent so there is that.
Team success on ice will probably dictate any early dismissals. I’d look for the end of the season for replacement if the team fairs reasonably well.
Insiders have said they wouldn’t block him from the move.Because Tampa aren’t likely going to let him go 2 weeks into the season
Haven’t seen that, that’s good then. Do you know where I can find that?Insiders have said they wouldn’t block him from the move.
Justice prevails>Be Andlauer

>league thanks you by launching two investigations related to your team
It really is egregious at this point. The NHL has a noted history of turning a blind eye to franchise transgressions when they see fit. Almost billion dollar transaction goes thu and now we're going over things with a fine tooth comb? Ridiculous.>Be Andlauer

Wow you're really upsetPierre is making a great first impression!
Puts himself in a cap bind with Pinto, only to be bailed out by the dude being a degenerate gambler. Now he's about to cost the team a draft pick, and quite possibly incur a fine on the new owner, because he f***ed up the Dadonov trade.
He's probably not coming back from this one.
It has been confirmed that Vegas wasn't on his list, which is why it took so long for this situation to come to light. From the perspective of Dadonov and his agent, nothing was out of the ordinary about the initial trade from Ottawa - the Sens would not have needed his express permission to go ahead with that deal. It was only when Vegas subsequently attempted to dump him on the Ducks that they sort of went 'hey what the f***, I'm not supposed to be able to be traded there'.The part that would be so frustrating about this situation is that it isn't even like Dorion had to pull a fast one on Vegas. They wanted the player. It was a hockey trade. I also suspect that Vegas would not have been on his no-trade list since they were a contender with a great tax situation, and it clearly was not working out in Ottawa.
It makes me wonder if this is another "I can't talk to Turris until July 1st" thing, where Dorion just doesn't know how his job works. The NHL likely has some sort of legal protocol with no-trade lists that covers what happens if a player doesn't submit one.
In short, it's hilarious that we will lose a 1st round pick when there was no actual competitive advantage to us withholding the trade list. Just pure incompetence.
He's got a point

It's crazy. Had Dadonov performed well in Vegas - or had they traded him to another team not on his list - this would have never been caught.
It's wild too, because the league has to take a pick in this scenario. They can't just fine the team, because then you've created a situation where NTC's no longer exist for wealthy teams willing to pay the fine for violating them. Something has to be done that hurts the hockey ops side and discourages this sort of behavior. I would guess that Andlauer not being the owner at the time of the violation also discourages a fine; he's not really at fault here.
