Not coming back. For a guy who played 14 min on the 2nd line and score 5 goals in 50 games just isn't enough. Younger, better players will get the job done with those minutes.

just tuned off during the summer

the Deslauriers for a 4th though, maybe Blake can have a little talk with Bergevin on how to rid of shitty players and still get a pick out of it

Now he'd be a nice addition. He's only 21, scored 29 goals and 65 points in his sophomore season, and this past season netted 30 goals and 83 points.

What would a player like that cost?

Actually, pretty interested to see what happens with Brodz.

I agree with you that he's a player I'd love to have and he would fit our new dynamic very well with his speed, but he would be way too much. Not only would we have to trade some crazy assets for him, but his asking price right now is also $9.5 million per season.

Would anyone be interested in trying to sign Nichushkin now that he's a UFA?

I would. Huge reclamation project, basically Dergachyov on steroids. Funny how the revisionist history has him as not all that good anyway. Exactly the kind of guy we should swing at on a 1-2 year deal.

Ontario loses one of their top forwards.

Always liked his game as an AHLer, was always good for the Reign.

Probably starts at Turcotte, and then keeps going. I'm sure the Canes are trying to build on last year, but other than maybe Doughty, there's nobody with experience that would be worth a damn to Carolina. I don't even know if Blake could come up with a deal. It would have to be all prospects and picks. At least as the main pieces anyway. Doesn't really help a team coming off the 3rd round.

Well, his value now is officially a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. NOt bad at all.

I'd offer that to Carolina, but I'd want the first to be top 5 protected. We could probably offer a pretty substantial package to them, actually.
