Maybe. Or both. Or both and Barron. Who knows before training camp.
Sure, just prefer all the kids avoiding the tire fire and getting meaningful minutes in Laval. Leskinen and Norlinder have already played against men

You just work very hard to get rid of Drouin, Hoffman, Byron and Armia. And you don't take Dadonov for Weber. I am pretty sure a guy like BriseBois in TB would had work his way in this mess.

Have you seen the trades around the league this summer? It's almost impossible to shed any salary without being bent over.

Brisebois gave McDonagh away for an overpaid bottom pair D and a filler prospect. Is it really better?
EDIT: Also let go of Palat and Rutta.

EDM paid picks to get rid of Kassian.
VGK gave Pacioretty for free.
SJS sold Burns for peanuts.
NYR paid picks to get rid of Nemeth.

There was no easy way out this summer. Whatever happened, it was going to suck.

Pens fan I come in peace.

Wondering how good of a prospect Poehling is?

I see a lot of comments about Matheson being shit. I think you guys are going to love him.

Matheson is incredible and honestly I think he's on the up.

Edit he isn't a prospect he's 23 Big F.

He was pretty good in the post season last year.
Incredible this post season as well. He plays playoff hockey. People just assume that overly aggressive defensemen are automatically bad. Sure Matheson gets walked sometimes but that’s because he’s trying to land a big hit or make a pinch.

I genuinely think right now he’s a top pair defenseman. Very noticeable out there, drives play, and plays big boy hockey.

Harris played 10 NHL games and played against young men (20-24) in the NCAA.

Whoever performs best, but if their previous NHL stint are any indication, Harris has the lead.

Well, he can play on a bottom 6 but he is not good at anything, not consistent, good speed and big body but he doesn’t use it to his advantage, still some potential but expect a bottom 6 player in the upcoming years

Petry still has some good hockey left but he did just play his absolute worst season as a Hab. Not retaining salary and not paying to get rid of him is as good of a deal we were going to get. Matheson is younger, cheaper and coming off one of his best seasons in the league. I don't think this is as bad as some people are thinking. We definitely had our expectations way too high on what Petry would get us

Poehling isn't a prospect anymore.

He's a solid 4th line centre who struggles to win faceoffs.

If you have to waive him, there's a good chance he won't get claimed.
