Goodrow has like 4 points in his last 20 games but everyone wants to crucify Laf and Kakko for the 3rd line not scoring

I actually think Kakko should be playing a decent amount in tie games or protecting leads, down a goal it’s basically going to be the top six, which is fine, that’s why those guys are there, Kakko has been a possession monster, it’s not translating to points, but give me the guy who has the puck a lot out there late.

Our Big Boys once again got blanked in a tight, playoff game. PP came up empty.

There's a million ways to complain about this team. The GDT was filled with people just hoping they would compete with an obviously better opponent tonight. They did! Why so much angst!?!
that first 5 minutes and igor’s performance were two massive kicks in the nuts

Win a period, win a game. We came up short. Can't win them all.

But if there is one thing we can take from this game, is the emergence of K' Andre the beast. What a performance. For him to outshine Vatrano's excellent game and Kreider's 50th is quite an accomplishment.

I can see him being a difference maker in the playoffs.

Yeah but that's hockey! Shesterkin isn't a god, he's a goalie, just like Henrik. You could just as easily say that the PP lost us the game as you can say Shesterkin did (and I'd honestly find that more compelling)

I mostly agree, like I said the 1st 2 periods were encouraging, they played the way they needed to against Carolina for the most part. But then it seemed like Carolina decided to impose their will on the game and the Rangers had no answer which is a bit deflating. If the 3rd period was closer I'd have no qualms at all even if the result was the same.

What a f***ing perfect goal too. The most Kreider goal he's ever scored.

Yeah, you stand in front of that net like you'll stand in Rangers history, big lad!

Last Ranger to wear 20. Start having that conversation with yourselves.

We are always 1 forward from having 3 functional lines. Add Kravtsov for that 3rd line insurance, unfortunate we lost Motte, really is. Goodrow needs to be on the 4th line.
Motte will be back question is who will be out? Chytil or Kakko?

Is it too much to ask to put Copp on the pp1 and have him take the faceoff and sit Strome's ass down?

Tough to lose a game because of a bad 5 minutes, but thats the way it goes. The Canes are a good team that check hard all game. Gotta move your feet if you want to compete. Too much coasting.

Also, third line was useless. Should move Copp to center Panarin and Strome to center Laf. Then Kakko and Chytil play of the right of whichever line. Motte's speed is a big loss. I like Brod's game more then Rooney's. Rooney is slow like Reaves. Get Chytil back and play it Goodrow-Brod-Hunt.

And I said that was nuts then even more ridiculous now
I lost my mind trying to figure out how people even preferred Nils to K’Andre. Especially when K’Andre did what he did in his freshman campaign. There was 0 argument for Nils then and now
