All the hot takes of us losing this game because of the 3rd line, Adam Fox, Strome, the kids being busts, etc, etc, are laughable.

We got out goalied tonight. Plain and simple. I'd bet the farm that Igor felt like he should've stopped all 3 goals.

If Igor finds his A game, we're going to win a round or two in the playoffs. If not, 1st round exit. And that's not the end of the world either. Big things to come for this team, the playoff experience will be huge for them going into next year.

Now let's pummel the Flyers tonight.

For shits and kicks I googled images for hot takes...

If HFNYR were a brick & mortar, this would be the perfect sign out front.

Good measuring stick game going into the playoffs.

Very strong start to the game, but ultimately the skill of Carolina took over. They’re a favorite for a reason.

Everyone is going to have to raise their game significantly to beat a team like them or Florida in a 7 game series.
Not really. The difference in this game was the goaltending. Anderson was significantly better than Shesterkin. I'll take my chances that Shesterkin will at least be able to match Anderson in a series with Carolina should the Rangers be fortunate enough to get there, and the Rangers will win more games than they lose because of it.

We shoot the puck we at least get one point in that game .Panarin has to shoot more . Guys then crash for rebounds. Plus we have to develop a workaround versus clubs that stop us at the blueline on the rush. Frustrating watching us last night rush after rush broken up at the blueline . Dump and chase in a game like this one....sometimes you have to make changes mid game . Gauthier would have been a better addition then Reaves last night . Oh welll beat the Flyers....put some new blood in this one .

I like how Trouba has only 2 speeds in defending the blue line: positioning so far away from it that he looks like he is afraid of the thing, and full steam Leroy Jenkins past it into the neutral zone.

There is no middle ground.

I’ll give Kakko a break because it’s only his second game back. But Laf is really frustrating to watch. Especially with how we was playing a few weeks ago.

I honestly do believe these kids just need to get spoon fed ice time to improve. Unfortunately for them we’re a playoff team so that’s taking a back seat
Once Chytil went down, I mentioned the 3rd line would take a huge hit. Not only because he was playing his best hockey, but that his speed would be dearly missed. Motte would have been a good fit there, but he went down as well.

We should see him back soon and he has had some prior chemistry with Laff and Kakko. But, I have my doubts Kakko can get up to speed with the few games we have left in the season. He looks awfully slow in his return. Chytil and Laff compliment one another. Both hunt the puck, get in on the forecheck, and are hard to play against. Chytil has really improved in these areas. So much so, that when Gallant narrows his bench to 3 lines, late in tight games, Chytil is out there not missing a shift. The same can't be said for Laffy. Chytil has the confidence of his coach. Which is a far cry from being a healthy scratch earlier in the season.
