Drury's #1 priority in the off season is finding a better partner for Fox to play with. Lindgren's had a nice run here but he's a bottom half defenseman. He's weighing Fox down. Fox needs a big strong stay at home partner.
K’Andre works, I think.

yep playing the Pens and the refs may be tougher but watching both teams right now the Caps definitely have their shit together way more than the Pens. I'm hoping those old legs from both of those teams plus not so great goaltending will be a big factor.

I dont have any trust in our goaltending as of late.

And why does Gallant insist on sending out the 4th line on O-zone starts?

Rangers controlled the play throughout the first and into the second. Carolina was a mess. Don't let the loss color the entire night.

PP didn't take full advantage. It's a game of inches...Vatrano hit the cross-bar. Strome missed an open net through miscommunication.

Personally, I wouldn't have gone with Reaves in this game. Motte or Blais would've been ideal, but obviously fewer options at the moment.

Rangers just took the foot off the gas in the latter part of the second and couldn't get it back. Very apparent in the arena. Just kinda reminds me of where Carolina was a year or two ago.
Yep the awful PP and Smith’s crosscheck was the combo that changed the momentum in favor of the canes.

Lol I tuned into the Seattle game just as Matty Beniers threaded a no look pass in the first to Donato for a one time finish. Can’t wait for another teams young player to turn into a star
DIdn't you hear? If we voice concerns about our players underperformance we aren't real fans according to some on this board.

I’ll give Kakko a break because it’s only his second game back. But Laf is really frustrating to watch. Especially with how we was playing a few weeks ago.

I honestly do believe these kids just need to get spoon fed ice time to improve. Unfortunately for them we’re a playoff team so that’s taking a back seat
And I'm with that for now. You don't know how many cracks you actually get. That's hockey.

Starting in the summer, the Rangers need to grow a pair and commit to these kids or trade them.

There's a difference between contenders and favorites. Canes are one of the favorites, along with Florida, to take the east. If either loses in round one, I would consider it an upset. The other matchups are coinflips and will be decided by who stays healthy.

Time to lock up Key, he’s a beast out there, confidence level through the roof.

Can’t believe Smith cross checked Goodrow in the teeth with Reaves dressed.

Beat up Philly tomorrow.
Some people believe in a flat Earth and deterrents in hockey.

They wouldn’t have called Motte’s injury significant if it wasn’t in the day and age of the NHL where everyone is day to day.

People shouldn’t get their hopes up that he’s just going to show up for game 1 of the playoffs.

My hope would be the ECF if they got that far.
We don't necessarily need Motte to have a good 4th line.

Just slide Goodrow down when we're healthy and play Brodzinski instead of f***ing Rooney.

I cannot stress enough how much Rooney is basically Tanner Glass this year and how I still feel like the only one who's noticed.

Watching Rooney and Reaves attempt zone exits in person last night took six years off my life.

I can deal with one. Preferably Reaves at this point because he just can't skate but at least he can handle the puck when he gets to it. The two of them together is just a non-line. The other team is on the powerplay.

Poor Dryden Hunt.

They had him and Necas together 4 on 4 let that sink in.
Imagine Chytil and Kakko 4 on 4 in the third period??? Yeah in our dreams.
Necas is in his 3rd full NHL season. Jarvis just turned 20. He barely played hockey last season during the pandemic. Jarvis made Carolina as a 19 year old.

Washington will catch and pass Pitt.
that's because they don't want to play us, and honestly even though I know we'll beat Washington I really don't want to play them, they're a little bit too physical for us. Hate to say it but it's true, unless we step up our physical game. I think that's why we lost the Carolina last night, we didn't "put it to them" enough Kreider got his 50th, pretty sure he's not happy though, it will all be about the team.

I was kinda surprised we handled their trap like D, fairly well in the first period. But by the 3rd we couldn't get it out of our zone and it cost us.
By trap do you mean relentless pressure on the puck?
Canes don't play a "trap". They do forecheck the living hell out of you and they play with speed. That Jarvis goal was a perfect example. Our guys, Trouba, KAM and Mika, got beat to every puck.

I mean yeah they forechecked like mother f***ers but this is like a gross mischaracterization of what happened on that goal.

Goodrow turned it over and was slow getting off. A bad change is what led to that goal against. Mika was literally on the ice for like 4 seconds before that goal happened lol.

Even though it may lead to goals with bad changes, we have been lightyears better at standing teams up at the blue line as opposed to backing down and letting them skate in with ease.

I want to be happy but f*** that third period sucked

Can’t wait for that stupid f***ing idiot strome to be gone i’m so f***ing sick of watching him

Igor really f***ed us with those two shit goals he gave up. i’m not sure why i should have confidence in him in a 7 game series some times. he just doesn’t always feel safe.

Kakko sucks. Lafreniere sucks. Jarvis dicksmacked us tonight while these two limp dick cowards could barely enter the zone. i don’t even care anymore.

the empty net that copp missed was f***ing tragic

lindgren tries hard and is tough but he is not a player i am confident in against teams like carolina. he’s just not good enough.

schneider tries but he’s such a bad passer. i really hope that part of his game grows

i’m being really negative which sucks because we played a really good first two periods but we fell apart for 5 minutes and this is what we get. i’m just a little disappointed.
You didn't really just spew "anything". Most of it was spot on, except for comment on Shesty. I am disappointed as well, especially Shesty's performance. We NEEDED a big game from him (dare I say Georgiev performance?) 44 saves wasn't needed, but he really should have only given up 1. Normally he would have, and still have every confidence he will be much better.
