Galllant is partly to blame with his lineup. He better look in the mirror and start benching mckegg , reaves and hunt in that order.

Johnny bro needs to be in lineup now instead of kckegg. I also would rather see gaut instead of reaves right now.

And put in braun. Both nemeth and schneider looked like shit. Rotate those three but braun needs to see some ice.

Cant wait till strome, kakko and rooney are all back so we can perma bench reaves, mckegg and hunt who are all horrific.

There will be changes for sure next game. I bet we see Braun and Brodzinski. Strome, Kakko and Rooney should be back soon also.

Gallant loves McKegg for reasons no one can see but him.

There's a problem with the effort this game but the insinuation that the team needs a Hasek like effort from Shesterkin to win nowadays is blatantly false. Georgiev won his last 4, 2 of which were terrible starts.

Right. The people using this game as the barometer are out of their mind. This team has been very good. They were clearly gassed and not with it. They say these are the letdown games. Two big middle of the week road wins. They had won a few in a row too. Let’s all chill. Don’t let the Cizikas hack bust your chops. He’s a loser, just like his entire fanbase. All you need to know is they ban anybody that likes a message on their thread but they flock here to do the same. They’re pathetic in every way. Enjoy the false hope end of the season push.

I haven't watched him closely enough to know, but I think he's at fault for only one of tonight's goals, the third, where he followed Wahlstrom (who curled near the blue line) but didn't stop the pass, which left Nemeth alone v Barzal & Parise. Also at fault were the two late Rangers who didn't pick up anybody.

Second goal he came onto the ice right as the Isles launched their odd man rush (set in motion by Trouba losing the puck). First goal was more on Nemeth, who didn't switch to Cizikas when Schneider switched to the puck carrier. Cizikas took the opportunity to stand on the other side of the net & tap the puck in.

I guess I can't blame their pathetic fanbase. I mean they just won their cup for this year and they are a little giddy. It's funny but for a fanbase that used to chant 1940 it's soon to be 39 years and counting. Ouch.

No one was skating this game. Maybe three games in four nights at this stage of the season is tough, but there was just no effort from puck drop.
 
I mean yes, i get that we kind of got defensively edged, but we limited them to 18 shots. The only pair who was on for all 3 against? Nemeth and schneider. Schneider i am sure is good but he will make rookie mistakes. Nemeth just missed his man on the first one I believe. Look maybe try braun schneider but that pair is our weakest come playoff time and I wouldnt be surprised if we ride the top 4 come playoff time either. Right now schneider is learning, but nemeth man. If he could be two way, it would be fine but he is only decent at offense and has an okay shot. Igor wasnt the best but I cant expect him to be. Its hard to stay in a groove when you are resting so they are gonna probably ramp up his play say like 5 or so games before the playoffs. Goalies need to stay sharp and right now we get away with a little bit more of georgiev but igor might cool down. Lets not have that happen.
 
Well I’m glad I was out tonight and didn’t watch and also glad I don’t have the patience to go back and read all of the doomsday comments. Anyone who has a millimeter of a fingertip on the pulse of this team saw this coming. Islanders have virtually nothing at all to play for and treat NYR games like the cup. We have virtually nothing at all to motivate us to treat NYI any differently than Montreal or Arizona. This is the loss you see coming from a mile away and know not to read into. And yet…

Well...glad I missed this one to spend quality time with the family. Recording has been deleted and will not watch the "highlights" either.

On to the next one!
