Post-Game Talk: pile

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates
But is Nemeth or Braun going to consistently be better? Unless we can definitely say yes, I’d just assume let Schneider get the experience. If they were genuinely upgrades, I’d be fine with letting them play, as Schneider has gotten a lot of experience for a young D already. But I feel they’re equal at best and definitely don’t feel confident either is better, in which case I just embrace the growing pains over the gaffs of the upside-less veteran.
I would like to give Nemeth-Braun a look at least.

Unpopular opinion but Nemeth was always good until he came here to partner exclusively with AHL guys.

With the number of Jack knife forwards this team has, I could very realistically see them going with 11F 7D in some playoff games.

Not sure I agree but it’s worth a shot. You’re right, this season he has been playing with neophytes exclusively. Maybe give him a few games with Braun.
I suspect we would see much of the same nonsense, but who knows. Maybe he’ll be more effective as ‘second fiddle’.
(Though I kind of think he’s second fiddle to Schneider already).

Overdue for a let down game. Not surprised at all. Islanders always bring it at MSG.
I am sure it was mentioned somewhere in this thread, but will say it again. 3 games in 4 doesnt bode well for winning. B2B's are one thing, but.........
Would LOVE to see the leagues record on teams playing that 3rd game. Cant be above 25% winning, me thinks.

I bailed after they scored the third goal -- and stayed away from the PGT last night. Knew they didn't have it last night to come back on a Trotz team that was hell bent on winning via defensive shell. That being said, I think this team continues to refuse to simplify and play crash the net when the other team plays a frustrating style.
I just hope that they are willing to do that if needed in the playoffs . Hopefully they will and these games will be forgotten . 16 post season wins required before they drink from the Cup.
