Hughes had zero reason to give up the farm for PLD. Its not his fault PLD declared his desire to play for the Habs. If anything it was a distraction for Hughes who is sticking to the rebuild. Habs fans dodged a bullet here.

Glad PLD is going elsewhere. Makes zero sense to give up signficant assets to then have to overpay him at 9M AAV a was his reported ask to Montreal.
