Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman is reporting that Dubois has narrowed his list of possible trade destinations from 5-6 teams down to roughly two.

Went down fast from 5/6.

Again, PLD is not a #2 center and Kopitar is not a #1 center but both demand salary as if they were.
If the Kings are not finishing their rebuild, we will be back to square one very soon.

Byfield and Kupari have all the tools to be the #1 and #2 center, at some point we have to let them play some hockey, signing PLD is the opposite of what the Kings need.

Just to explain my position a little more, a #1 center needs to score the very least 80+ points
and a #2 center 70+ points if the target is to even remotely compete in the playoff.

We are facing opponent players who score 90+ points on a regular base, not to mention the Edmonton guys.
Thinking Byfield and Kupari are more likely to become 1 and 2 centres as good as or better than Kopitar and Dubois is RIDICULOUS and putting a lot of hope in their development.

Jesus.

I honestly don’t know what to say other than there is no point talking hockey with people that make horrible takes like this.
In which season has he ever produced above that at this stage in his career? He’s been around 7 years and he has a career high of 63 points and his production has seemed to plateau the last 6 seasons. Are we all missing something for you to try and discredit people with that opinion?

He said Dubois was not even a 2C. Why are you even posting that to me? Are you actually agreeing with him?

WTF honestly.

This is Pagnotta..so…

Including not exclusively..I’m hoping for a young RHD as well
Renaud Lavoie also hinted at a PLD trade earlier this morning.

It just goes to show everyone that Montreal fans were proposing below market pitches to Jets fans all these months.
Let’s also not act like Vilardi is a sure asset either. He’s 23 and just had his first good season and his back issue history could also be problematic at some point.

And there's always Salt Lake for Winnipeg... dwindling fan interest and every player wants out

Come on, lads. More hockey and less city ad hominem.

Either a trade works for both partners or it doesn't work at all. Not sure MTL had the pieces or the will to make this one happen, and PLD seemed at times like a luxury rather than a need for them.

Looks like the domino's teetering. I think Dubois will be a great fit in LA.

I’m just glad that Hughes didn’t give up Barron or Dach. I would have hated to see either go.

We keep building.
