It’s a shame the internet wasn’t around when JFK was killed. Or maybe it’s a good thing. It definitely would have been an interesting time for internet sleuths and social media
If it existed when Lincoln was killed prob would have had a dude with a confederate flag and a bandana covering his face taking a selfie with John Wilkes Booth on the run.

*edit* dunno why I mixed up Oswald and booth lol.

Reddit thread I was just reading is tracking a plane that he is supposedly on that is headed towards Toronto..and someone affiliated with Ohtani's camp supposedly booked out an entire sushi restaurant in Toronto. I don't know how people dig up this information but it's amusing.

I hope this goes down. Could be awesome for Baseball in Canada and keeps him away from a Phillies rival. Maybe Montreal will get jealous and bring back the Expos finally! How about a team in Vancouver too?
Up here, the rumors is that Kikuchi(Jays pitcher) booked that restaurant. Kikuchi and Ohtani went to high school together.

But right now, the 2 TV stations(TSN & SN) are losing their mind that he isn't on the plane. Been talking about him for last 2 hrs.

Are players allowed to get a stake in the franchise? Might as well make him part owner

EDIT: Does this number change after the physical?

Nope. Way back when, Rogers Hornsby was a player-manager and given a stake in the Cardinals. They ended up trading him to the Giants. The Commissioner ruled that he had to divest his Cardinals interests. The Cardinals said they were too poor to do it, so the other NL teams had to buy him out. It was a mess.

Plus I do not imagine they want an MLPBA member with access to information.

Good for Ohtani, but that contract is ridiculous. Especially since he’s basically a DH next season and who knows how his arm will hold up over time.

Soto’s next contract just increased by 10 million per year after this deal. MLB teams not willing to spend big dollars might as well just fold now.

They will just get more money in their pockets from the ones that spend and revenue sharing.

Criminals.

I hate the f***ing Dodgers. It's always the f***ing Dodgers. They're what people thought the Yankees were by "buying" their team. f*** them. I f***ing hate them. Predictable. f***ing predictable. Now what? Am I supposed to hate my 2nd favorite player?

Also he's worth it. The contract is not absurd. I mean...it is. But you know what I mean
