I think that The situation that Carter was in in Columbus makes him appreciate this place.

That and winning. Winning consistently with this team has made everybody buy in. Carter's been a solo star and lost a cup and been part of a team and won 2. I think at this point, he'll stick with the team concept and winning.

Like if McSorley wasn't caught Kings would have won in 93?
We all have our fantasies and what ifs

Well I've never been one to blame McSorley so I don't understand that rationale either. It was game 1 and much like the Philly Game 6 Carter no goal, there was still over a minute on the clock and Montreal could have easily scored to tie even without Marty in the box. Even if they didn't, it was only the second game of the series.

But that is as actually a great point by you. This is the type of crap that you cling to when you don't have anything more positive to focus on. You don't really hear too much whining about McSorley's stick these days.

Reminds me of the joke about the bear and the rabbit. The bear and rabbit were chilling out, and the bear talked of his displeasure of his do-do sticking to his fur. The rabbit interjected that do-do never sticks to his fur. So the bear grabs the rabbit and uses the rabbit to wipe his butt. Ha ha?

It's really happening!!!

I think if the Kings come home up 2-0 they win in 93.

Obviously we will never know, but how many teams in a final series have won the first two on the road and lost the series.

Not many teams have. The last one I recall was the 2009 Penguins coming back to win over the Red Wings in 7

Kings going with 11 forwards . I guess that means rotating forwards on the 4th line thruout the game

Per Dean Lombardi - the kings won't be at to recall a player for Kopitar spot

He said they will be playing one short tonight - DL most definitely unhappy - called the situation 'a political football '

This is ridiculous. Absolutely no reason for the Kings to not be allowed to fill Voynov's spot and be granted cap relief by the NHL.

But hey, it's okay. Pronger can be on long term IR, get paid by the Flyers, not count against their cap, and have a job with the NHL all at the same time.

What a load of excrement!!

Hammond did say on twitter that the Kings can make an emergency callup for the next game, but still why can't we tonight?

Shots fired.

This is stupid
@reallisa: Situation had to do with escrow - we will get to that later

@reallisa: Lombardi: "It's one thing for the player to have to pay a penalty. It's another thing for 19 other guys to have to go out there shorthanded."

Well that's good...no need to rush him.

King-Richards-Brown
Pearson-Carter-Toffoli
Andreoff-Stoll-Williams
Clifford-Richards/Carter/Stoll-Nolan

I think that 70's line is officially our top line tonight.
I cannot believe the league is not giving and exception to go over the cap by voynov's contract whil all this crap gets worked out.
I also cannot believe the NHLPA is not up in arms over the suspension itself, as well as the lack of cap relief as dressing only 11 forward creates an increased injury risk for its players.
The whole situation is a mess.

Kopitar might play after all.

Kopitar didn't rule out playing. "I felt pretty good on the ice today, so we'll see about tonight." Given line rushes, it'd be a surprise.
