Yup, proud bandwagoner for 22 years. For the most part, the Flyers fans on here are a great bunch.

I do LOL at the people that still bring up Carter's missed goal on Niemi, though.

With the "Niemi with an amazing save on Carter," video clip no less. You'd think it would be the "Carter with a horrible missed shot attempt" video.

Polar Bear too??

Another favorite is the one right after that: "I don't mind the Kings because I will always be a Richards fan, but some Kings fans on here are a joke. The inferiority complex is strong among them."

Yes, I feel totally inferior as a Kings fan, as my team has won two Cups in the past three seasons. Yet I cannot hold my head high, as I know from what Philly fan has told me, they are going to go on a six-season Cup run in 2017-2023 and there is nothing in this great Universe to stop it.

Nothing.

I feel sooooo low to Philly fan. :(

That one is always puzzling. I think that comes from some misplaced superiority complex which somehow was fostered over the years of being good, but never good enough. At least in most of their lifetimes. Inferiority complex would be Clipper fans to Laker fans :naughty:.

I like the idea that if Carter makes that shot, the Flyers would have won the Cup. They were down in the series and there was still time in the game. It wasn't exactly a "laces out" moment. It wasn't even a skate in the crease moment. It was more of a "so you're telling me there is a chance" moment.

Like if McSorley wasn't caught Kings would have won in 93?
We all have our fantasies and what ifs

I think if the Kings come home up 2-0 they win in 93.

Obviously we will never know, but how many teams in a final series have won the first two on the road and lost the series.

Snider

so much for that theory. that crazy obsessed old man will forever keep that franchise on the edge of mediocrity until he relinquishes control.

I can just picture Hexy telling him, "Back the **** off. Let the hockey people make the hockey decisions, you just pay the bills old man.".

The good news is that is does not sounds like much more than one, if it ends up being one game. #Kopitar

As we like to say, things have a way of changing, but sounding as though Kopitar will miss at least one game. #Caution

Well that's good...no need to rush him.

Eastern Conference game. Who gives a ****. Extra padding and training wheels for everybody.

My inferiority complex won't allow me to agree with this post.

We have to beat them so we can get out of bed tomorrow morning without hating our selves or overdosing on kale

But if his (Kopitar's) upper-body injury keeps him out of Tuesday's game against the Flyers, the Kings face the possibility of dressing only 11 forwards because they're too close to the salary cap to bring up a replacement from the minor leagues. Kings executives spent much of the day Monday working with officials from the NHL and the NHL Players' Assn. trying to get a temporary cap exemption and the flexibility to recall a player from Manchester (N.H.), likely Jordan Weal.

Kings seek to arrange a possible fill-in for injured Anze Kopitar

You would be better off just ignoring those people. They've irrationally hated Carter for the better part of a decade now, and there's not much hope that they're going to come around.

The 2010 SCF wasn't lost because of Carter. It was lost because the Hawks were just a better team. It also didn't help that the Flyers had a third pair that couldn't be trusted to play more than 8 minutes a night, and MFL in net.

The only real beef I have with Carter comes from his inability and/or unwillingness to transition to wing during his time in Philly, even after it became abundantly clear that it was the best move for both the team and Jeff. Carter is the ideal winger for the modern game. A big, shoot first winger that has the speed and size to push back defensemen in the neutral zone is exactly what the Flyers needed then, and still need today.

A lot of Flyers fans dislike Carter and a lot of Blue Jackets fans hate him, yet Kings fans really like Carter. Now Carter is able willing to switch from winger to center as needed. He has gone out of his way to make Matt Frattin and Marian Gaborik feel welcome. He has arrived at camp fit and committed. He is playing amazing hockey consistently. Yes, his personality is still reserved, but he has clearly bought into the Kings' team concept. Why the change? Such a difference in how the teams' fans feel about Carter.

I think that The situation that Carter was in in Columbus makes him appreciate this place.
