In speaking w @LAKings,Kopitar was to have an MRI last night, revealed nothing serious per se,will travel w team, but Kings cautious.

That means, hopefully, nothing torn. Think maybe they rest him until the end of the week.

MRI? What could that be, shoulder? Ugh.

Regardless, hope he rests it up. Would love to see Richards crank it up on a higher line.

I'm hoping the 'per se' part of that comment from Weekes on the MRI doesn't mean something like a 'partial' tear (like he had with his knee) and it looked like his shoulder to me too.

IF Sutter would have given Richards either Williams or Brown to work with on a line and not moved him off, that stability might have provided something on the scoreboard. They played well last night in the 3rd and I'm hoping of Kopi can't go tomorrow night, Sutter will have Richards with Williams and Brown together.
And playing in PHilly, he'll be cranked up.

Looking forward to MR having a great game, he has been playing well with line-mates that aren't up to his level. If he puts up a strong performance with good wingers like Williams, maybe we can scoot Stoll down to the 4th line with Cliffy and Nolan/Lewis. Compared to "normal" teams, that would be like having three 1st lines and a strong 3rd line.

LOL @ Philly fans calling anybody classless

Die, Santa :sarcasm:

I'd have to go back and watch the replay but it did look like an awful fall. I'm literally asking what an upper body MRI could be other than a shoulder, but that was my first instinct, anyway.

I agree that he'll look good with some talented offensive players, especially on the short term. Situations like this are exactly why Richards is important. Now what he does with it is up to him and the player he will be for the remainder of his career. Not many chances for Richards to be a top-sixer these days.

I'd be careful stereotyping an entire fanbase.
I am sure there are plenty of stereotypes that can be said about people from LA you probably wouldnt like or agree with.

I actually find myself to be very considerate and friendly with everyone, and I'm from Philly :)

hugs all around!

If the Kings do have to call up a Center, please please give Jordan Weal a cup of coffee. Kid deserves it.

Context--the original post was an inside joke about people stereotyping our fanbase. No worries.

Unless something gives with the Voynov cap space, we can't until emergency basis--which would mean we play the Philly game with 11 forwards.

I'm actually kind of shocked nothing has happened because to me it's pretty scary going on a road trip with exactly the right amount of players (down one actually if you include Kopitar) and no cap space.

If it comes down to it, the League will give the Kings cap space if another injury occurs.

The League is not going to let the Kings, not ice a full team. That is dangerous to the roster(minutes), and damages the product on ice.

I am confident an exception would be made, in the Kings favor.

Unfortunately the Flyers GDT already has all of our favorite stereotypes out Kings fans . My favorite is that we are all ex-Flyers and Ex- Lakers fans.

Another favorite is the one right after that: "I don't mind the Kings because I will always be a Richards fan, but some Kings fans on here are a joke. The inferiority complex is strong among them."

Yes, I feel totally inferior as a Kings fan, as my team has won two Cups in the past three seasons. Yet I cannot hold my head high, as I know from what Philly fan has told me, they are going to go on a six-season Cup run in 2017-2023 and there is nothing in this great Universe to stop it.

Nothing.

I feel sooooo low to Philly fan. :(

Fins from Philly are exempted of course ;)

Stoll is on the 3rd line for reasons that don't involve offense. Stoll's defensive game has done a complete 180 the past couple of seasons.

The lines are where they should be, IMO

Yup, proud bandwagoner for 22 years. For the most part, the Flyers fans on here are a great bunch.

I do LOL at the people that still bring up Carter's missed goal on Niemi, though.
