I say we look into Tom Osborne or someone like that. Everyone is trying to find the up and coming coach, so sometimes it’s best if you zig while everyone zags to get ahead of the pack. I say we scout 90’s teams

Yeah, all of those guys would work as DCs for me. Zimmer’s out there too. I’d rather have Leonhard or maybe someone like Minter is ready to jump if/when Moore gets the promotion. But they’re all reasonable choices. Same goes for Bowles if they can him.

Hell, they interviewed Glenn Schumann last year. Everyone knows Kirby told him not to leave for a lateral position, but you never know when guys want to jump up a level.
Just seems to be fewer and fewer jobs for Defensive candidates.
Offensive HC:
Den, KC, Cin, Cle, Jax, Ind, Mia, SF, LAR, Min, GB, Det (not exactly an X/O guy, feels more Defensive), DAL, PHI, NYG
Defensive HC
Pitt, Hou, NE, NYJ, Buf, AZ, Chi, NO, TB,
Special Teams
Bal
Open
LAC, LV, Ten, SEA, ATL, CAR, Was (and their HC were 4 D and 3 O).

Probably going to max out to like 12 Defensive HC next season.

@JojoTheWhale I couldn't help myself grabbing Burton. IDK why but I like him.

Wait it's news to me that slay had to get carted off? I wasn't paying attention most of the game? Did he blow his knee up or something?

He’s still around.

Hey wait did anyone tell the clown Jawann Jennings or whatever his name was that, in fact, #6 did play on Monday and happened to gain half as many yards in the game as Jennings did the entire season? Did anyone let him know?

In case anyone was curious, Kelce did not outright refute the rumors he’s retiring on the latest New Heights podcast. If anything, he sounded like someone who actually has made up his mind but is a little miffed that it got leaked

Thanks Adam, another hack btw

Report: Eagles coach Nick Sirianni will meet with owner Jeffrey Lurie on Wednesday

Clean house, JL

I could see Sirianni still being around, but that's only if he can explain why this disaster happened and why no adjustments were made whatsoever...which is a very tall task.

From quarterback disconnect to locker room tensions: How Nick Sirianni's Eagles descended into dysfunction

The offense became largely reliant on its gifted skill position players -- namely Brown and Smith -- to win their one-on-one matchups on the perimeter, with less of a focus on scheming players open.

In the early stages of the Eagles' skid, Hurts was hoping the direction of the offense would change...He believed they were overly reliant on vertical routes and not utilizing short-to-intermediate throws, particularly over the middle of the field, where Brown has thrived in his career. In short, the belief was there was too much flash over substance -- a sentiment others on the offensive side of the ball shared.

  • 5.2% of Hurts' pass attempts were between the hashes during the regular season, the lowest rate of the 30 QBR-qualified quarterbacks, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
  • 27.2% of the Eagles' routes were verticals, the 10th-highest rate in the NFL.
  • Philly threw downfield 20-plus yards on 11.4% of its passing attempts, the 11th-highest rate in the league.
  • Hurts had 77 attempts to receivers running vertical routes. He completed 30 of them (39%) with 11 touchdowns to eight interceptions and 10.8 yards per attempt.

The first thing you quoted, Mark Sanchez basically said the same thing 3 months ago in the game against the Jets. He saw it then. Coaches did very little to change.

The second thing you quoted, I can understand but it was game against Seattle Jalen threw 2 interceptions by chucking it deep when he had receivers wide open much closer. A bit of this on him too, despite him lugging around the anchor that is a coaching staff.

Every side leaks their spin. That’s just how it works. It’s on us to understand who uses which mouthpieces at this point.

From a football perspective, if Hurts wants to use the MoF AND can do it well, that would be gargantuan. Legitimately career changing. We have no idea if he can. But he needs to in order for any offense other than this solved one to work.

Time for me to rehash a controversial topic.

JK

Was doing mocks on PFN for the first time yesterday. Did like two but the whole take a project QB point went off in my noggin. Came to the realization that you're right. There really isn't a mid round project I like outside of Rattler.

Have you found any RBs in this class at all?

I can see myself being happy with MarShawn Lloyd as like a 6th rounder, but he's not making it that far. I have less than zero interest in using a Day 2 pick on Benson or Corum or any of those guys.

My favorite RB is also an even better DB (Vaki). What a weird class.

My RB senses have not been tingling at all.

Henderson was probably going to be my favorite but he went back.

Lloyd is probably the best value in my mind. I don't like Corum for some reason that I can't articulate. The size doesn't worry me but maybe I just hate his physical appearance for some reason? He has a face I want to punch.
Don't get the hype for Benson. I think Irving is better.
Don't know what to think of Allen. I like that he's young but other than that I feel like he's clunky at times.
Bought into Shipley hype but he might not even be the best RB at Clemson.

Yeah I think this class is cheeks but there's always that one dude that's going to surprise everyone. I want it to be Frank Gore Jr cause of the legacy but it's probably some DII guy I don't even know about.

I need Brugler's The Beast. Need those dang official birthdays cause some of these lads are probably older than I realize. They should normalize posting birthdays on their university athlete profile page. This is ridiculous.

If Sirianni does not lay out valid explanations as to what went wrong WITH realistic steps to fix them. He will be gone.
