I just can't understand how people can get to the highest level in the sport and seemingly not know anything about the game.

It's like that guy who was hired to be a sign language interpreter and just went up on stage and made a bunch of shit up. How could they not think they were going to be exposed?
Its like the Flyers thinking they could just sign that in undrafted euro. How do you not know CBA draft rules? Myself and a bunch of others in a hockey SIM league at the time made our rules by going by the NHL CBA and knew it was illegal.

Yet A professional team with dozens of front office staff couldn't have ONE understand the friggin CBA?

I have no f***ing clue how they can even consider keeping Sirriani. Guy is a joke.
If they bring him back, they’re setting up to having to fire him if they start 2-5 or something. Don’t know if Jeff will have the stones to do that, but the pressure will be very hot.

It's gotta mean that this is like 99% Howie's team right? As in it's Howie's offensive scheme, Howie's defense, Howie's decision to make the Patricia change, etc. The only way you can look at those things and not come to the conclusion that the entite staff needs to go is if Siriani is just the lackey to handle the day-to-day job of coaching.

Then someone is lying about Nick firing Wilson. The report was they had a heated conversation and Nick fired him, while Jeff and Howie liked him.

I honestly can't imagine a scenario where Howie is ever truly gone. Even if the fans went full pitchforks to the point of basically forcing Lurie's hand, they'd just slide him over to "Special Advisor Such and Such" and hire the next Doug/Nick of GMs

I think calling for Howie's head at this very moment is insane finger-pointing

If Patricia returns as DC, I will support your pitch fork waving...but he's nowhere near being shown the door (and he shouldn't be...we were just in the SB last year). Players/coaches let him down more than he let the players/coaches down.

I would cautiously agree right now that Howie should be safer than the coaches…but he’s also the one who built this roster. And at some point the bill will come due for all the restructuring he’s done, and we’ll hate it when it comes.

So basically I agree that he shouldn’t go anywhere, yet, but also believe he’s got to shoulder some ownership of how this last season went

Oh for sure - but I think nearly everyone needs to shoulder the load for last reason. I'd just give him significantly less percentage than the coaches or the players.

The big thing for me is this offseason. If he does things that will predictably go poorly - and then they do - I think we need to start really looking hard at him. Last year we kind of assumed young kids would move up and lock down some depth, but of course they didn't as planned. LBs were weak, the back CBs couldn't cover for Bradberry falling off a cliff (it happens), the young DTs ran out of gas, etc.

Anyway, I'll say if the coordinators return with Sirianni, I'll help storm the Bastille with the angriest of the bunch.
