Who is Davis and what did he say about Fletch?

Edit: Ahhhh, Jordan Davis, of course. I was looking for a reporter named Davis, silly me, haha.
No need to apologize. Based on what he did on the field this season, it’s perfectly reasonable to forget who Jordan Davis is / that he was a part of the team.

Who?

The feedback seems to be he's a good add that costs nothing. Here's to hoping it's a solid depth move.

Very good pre-season. Stuck on the Practice Squad last year. Better vs Zone than Man. Pretty good route runner. Not sudden whatsoever. Not really ideal outside or inside, but more of a guy who can fill in everywhere except X passably.

Obviously the risk is nothing. It’s a good signing. I’m just trying to give you an idea of the player.

This might be where people start calling me an idiot, but why do so many people want Belichick? Doesn't he have a losing record without Brady, and wasn't Brady still good without him?

Basically, because he probably still is a damn good coach. The Patriots put a lot of resources into their runs. The wheels were going to come off either way sooner or later. The GM Belichick is partly to blame for that of course. Brady just bolted at the very right moment and the Bucs turned into an all-star team within a couple of weeks (the lure of playing with Brady) and Arians was also a very capable coach. So Brady benefitted from circumstances in Tampa, while Belichick suffered from circumstances in New England.

Of course, Brady does get credit for what he did in Tampa and Belichick the GM deserves blame for the Patriots falling off but none of it really reflects too poorly on Belichick the coach.

If we take an OT instead of any sort of help at LB or CB/S, I'm gonna f***ing lose it. Howie's GOT to stop ignoring those positions.

Guyton is interesting. Good but not great performance. Superb traits. Needs some time, but you can see truly high end reasonable outcomes.
Yeah Guyton's on my list with Kingsley. DJ needs to stop reading this thread cause he stole it from me.

Also idk what to make of the CB class beyond DeJean, Wiggins, Arnold and Kool Aid.

I'm a Quinyon Mitchell fan. I know G5 is a harder evaluation, but he's got multiple years of production, good size (6' + 200lbs), made the Freaks list, and Brugler says he has verified 4.3 40 times. I'm worried he won't even be there at 22.

I think Kalen King could sneak into the 1st round too. Obviously a lot there hangs on testing and the postseason games.

Sainristil's a Slot, but that's a good late chance to take. Jaylin Simpson from Auburn is another Day 3 Slot/Safety hybrid I love. He was absolutely fantastic against Georgia this year. I know it was one game, but that was a pretty good one to be everywhere.

Everyone is fading King. Not sure how I feel. I think it's an overcorrection.
Probably do need a new slot corner. Ugh secondary needs a rework and youth injection. This seems like a good draft to do it.

I assume every old guy is getting tested in the off-season. So it's a base of Ringo, Brown and Ricks?

We also have the suspended Colts DB Isaiah Rodgers.

My take on King this year is he wasn’t good but he also wasn’t really thrown on outside of the Ohio State game where Harrison Jr. obviously had his way with him.

He went from last year where teams were just targeting him trying to avoid Porter Jr. so he saw a lot of action & really excelled. To this year where he basically became what Porter Jr. was last year.

So I don’t know if he was just going through the motions given that & it was his last year in college. He should test pretty well. He’s going to participate in the Senior Bowl so perhaps that could be his opportunity to boost his stock back up.
