If I remember what the Chiefs’ said their OT plan was if they gave up a TD first and then scored themselves, they were going to go for 2 and the win. Imagine how dramatic that 2 pt conversation would be. Get it and you’re a genius and have balls of steel; fail it and everyone second guesses you and criticizes you. I wish I’ll see a play like that in my lifetime
I think it’s a simple decision, what would give you the least regret?

-Mahomes getting 1 play from the 2 yard line
-Your defense going back out for a 6th quarter, not allowed to give up any points.

I get what Shanahan was thinking though, his defense was also the last off the field.

It is a new day. As I sit in Philly delayed, my craving for Niners tears has returned. Please, somebody....
These past two days I have woken up with a huge smile. The fact that they lost in such excruciating fashion is beautiful. They have lost 3 super bowls in the past 11 years all in terrible ways. Think they are done with the particular group.

In Shanahan's defense (and I hate to do this), but the Niners defense gave up one TD during regulation, immediately after a turnover caused by a freak bounce after a punt. It was reasonable to think that the Niners would score a TD against a completely gassed KC defense and then hold them out of their endzone. In the moment of the game, I can see his perspective.

At the same time, Mahomes is Mahomes, as soon as the Niners kicked the FG, the end result seemed inevitable.

He gave the ball to McCaffrey 8 times OT, but to start the 3rd quarter they had 3 straight 3 and outs with 8 runs to 1 pass. That's where he screwed up. Game was there for the taking.

Oh, I'm definitely putting a lot of blame for the game on him. They also should have had a bigger lead at halftime, they were dominating for the first 26 minutes.

Also, I just realized my point above doesn't really stand up to closer scrutiny. Still should have kicked. You can just flip the possessions, hold KC out of your endzone, then score the game-winning TD.

It’s easy to say when you have no skin in the game though. With that said I’d probably take the 1 play from the 2yd line do or die for the SB title. It probably would also depend how the game has played out as well

Does anyone have a list of all the new coaches we have? I was doing a good job keeping track but I've been offline a lot the last few weeks and don't have the energy to dig hard for that.

Well, duh. You told Howie you wanted a new deal and Howie told you to go seek a trade then.

Depends on what he's asking for in an extension. He's 30+, with production dropping last year (i know there are other factors at play as well).

I'm sure they've had conversations about what deal he expects, and it's too rich, hence Howie telling him to find a deal elsewhere. So yeah, he may have not formally requested a trade, but a big contract ask is essentially the same thing.

Falcons and Rams can f*** off. I had to listen to their fans for far too long
The Rams I only wanted to lose, because I didn't want to have to deal with them only having won after having the NFC Championship Game handed to them.

I had zero issue with the Falcons.

With the Rams I didn't like the McVay hype and the fact that they shouldn't have been there after the obviously missed call in the NFCCG (even though that also was the funniest shit ever from a hating the Saints perspective).

Easily rooted for both though since I loathe/despise the Patriots/Brady/Belichick.

Reddick posted he didn't ask for a trade. Howie putting out crap so if he trades him he won't look like he ran him out of town.

Nope - you just misread the initial report.

The original report from Rapaport was "Eagles gave Reddick permission to seek a trade." That is exactly what Reddick said happened. There is no conflict with the original report & what Reddick just said.

What the heck is Brad thinking here? Almost 30 and he needs a new contract.

Horseshit like this burns my butter. The graphic is so disingenuous it's disgusting. So-called "reporters" fabricating scenarios and then making the optics reflect like it is a done deal is the lowest of lows. What an absolute piece of shit this Brad douchebag is.

That being said, it is effective staging for the hair-trigger fans.

Not sure I believe what this asshole is saying. Surely if Carter was threatening to murder his wife and children we'd have heard about it long before now, and there would be others to back it up.

Meanwhile, this moron freely admits to what he said.
I mean Carter did apparently post a story at some point with a picture of Feliciano and his kids saying "i'll get up with ya."

He also by the tweet didn't say he was going to murder his wife and kids, he said they weren't going to see him again.

That's some real weird behavior either way though.

Hadn't seen that.

Well...not sure now. Don't want to be a homer fan, but I'm also remembering the movie The Replacements where Jon Favreau's Danny Bateman character says some pretty heinous shit about an opposing players' family. I think deep down I always assumed that these players say some horrific things to one another.

However, if Carter did this 3x, then...sheesh....just keep the families out of this. Talk all the shit you want to the player across from you.
