Purdy has no accuracy on his deep balls and that cost them dearly. Among other things.

Do we bump up DBs who can play both?

Edit: seeing DeJean slide a lot in mocks but I know it's only false hope cause he should destroy the combine.

Edit 2: Baumgardner has a three round mock with DeJean, Hicks and Paul.

There feels like quite a bit of sneaky depth in this class even outside of WR. I was thrilled with every single pick.

The simulator is funny at times. No way JPJ falls to fifty. I had Ladd at 50 (unlikely) and Brock Bowers at 50 one time too (zero chance)

But yea IMO 33-100 is great depth value.

You brave soul, i just can't pull the trigger this year on 2025 picks.

Yeah, I just mentally cross off most of the extra 2025 picks to zero out some of the inconsistencies in how the board would play out.

I wouldn't bother taking Bowers at 50 because it's never happening in a million years. I took Vaki at 99 despite him being ranked in the 230s because there's absolutely no way he falls that far. You can nudge the sims along in the right direction.

Do you take JPJ and just stick Jurgens at RG? Was thinking about that a lot over the past week. Literally like all those lads except Pearsall. Obligatory UF hatred.

To me, both JPJ and Jurgens have the versatility to play either spot. Whatever Stoutland wants works for me.

I thought about Cowing in that Pearsall spot, but Pearsall just feels so much safer.

Here's a fun question since we're dancing on the Niners graves...

Were the Niners the better team in any of their playoff games this year? The majority?

I feel like every game they pulled out a win, but shouldn't have.

The first 26 minutes yesterday was ALL Niners. They should have been up 3 scores by then.

But, they let the Chiefs hang around long enough for Mahomes to become inevitable.

But yeah, I'd give them the edge in Q1 and Q2, Q3 to the Chiefs and Q4 and OT were pretty even probably.

So there is enough there to make the argument that they were the better team for a majority of the game yesterday. Now I won't make that argument, but you can do so without sounding delusional.

Sure - you can make that argument about yesterday. But what do you think about the Lions/Packers games?

Man its the Whiners. The fact they were still talking shit about the Eagles this past week leading up to the game led me to believe they were worried about everything but what was most important, the win. I mean shit, they basically convinced themselves they needed to let Purdy ball out over the 2nd half to prove Cam Newton's 'game manager' comments wrong in lieu of just handing of to McCaffrey for the easy win.

And no, I'm not surprised to hear they're already coming up with excuses. Its what that franchise does. Probably the single most entitled fanbase and team in sports, even beyond the Cowboys or Yankees. Watching them get humbled in such spectacular fashion is something that we should all throw back in their faces constantly over this summer.

They didn't have a plan for OT and KC did. Attention to detail was clearly not fully there.

I should probably be nicer to the Niners than I am. I already know what it's like to be thick and soft, and they're just finding out.

This ain't their first rodeo getting smacked down late in the Super Bowl. Hell, they thought they had the win in the last 3 they were in, and choked them all.

You'd think a fanbase and team that was so accustomed to choking on their own spit would know enough to not tempt the fates by talking endless amounts of shit for 12 full months about how they deserved to win a NFC title game that they were absolutely demolished in, going so far as to continually bring up that opponent even 2 months after they last played when they were preparing for their own Super Bowl, but alas... f*** em, they deserve the shit talking they are getting now. They deserve the entire sports world dunking on them for not even knowing the rules of the game they were playing. They deserve to be clowned upon for talking that much shit and then coming into their chance at that level of being unprepared.

And all of this said, I'm looking forward to seeing what the Eagles can do this upcoming season. Lotsa people have been talking a lot about how our season went down, and with the coaches we have coming in, all that mouth running might come back to haunt them

My thirty second of sports talk radio today just consisted of a guy saying that he wants to trade AJ Brown to the Cardinals for Baker and a 5th round pick.

Ooof no.

I think we REALLY need some help at LB, and youth infusion in the DB is a great idea, but unless sweetheart aquisitions pop up, I'm willing to give Byard another go in a contract year with a proven DC. The guy wasn't cooked in TEN, and I don't think being a member of last years eagle D made anyone look particularly good.

IDK, Titans fans I talked to seemed to indicate that he wasn't all that good last year.

He's got such a large cap number that if they cut him and bring him back at a lower rate I'd be interested. Surely he realizes what he put on tape this last season, he's not going to keep the same $ amount.

Now, I don't know how the financials work out, but if they're dead set on trading Reddick, would a Reddick for Buddha Baker swap make sense?
