I don't know the rule, but something about it being vague and that both pulling and pushing the ball carrier could/should be banned but only the pulling aspect is getting enforced (sometimes).

In that case they'd just need a memo on a stricter interpretation of the already existing rule and technically no rule change.

Spoke to my buddy who's a big Steelers fan & generally had a solid opinion.

Edmunds is a box safety who's a fine starter. Won't make any turnovers, but doesn't really make mistakes either. He was drafted to do more, but just settled into being a fine starter.

Honestly based on that, sounds like he's ideal for Desai's defense.

Take ESP's tweet for what you will, but it shows some basic grading comparing CJGJ & Edmunds

Generally I'm fine with having 'solid starters' at safety and linebacker.

I just hope the middle of the field won't become a glaring weakness and opposing team can simply short pass and slant the Eagles to death while avoiding our strengths, the line and corners.
