He got hurt in practice late in the year so he missed their last two regular season games & then the bowl game. It extended into his off-season so he didn’t test at the combine or his pro day. I think the lack of exposure late in the process probably did him in on top of being a pure slot guy.

I may be completely wrong about that. Just going off of what I remember.

Edit: Looks like i'm not wrong. She sued him and other men, I believe, for the same situation that the police failed to file charges against him. He also is filing a defamation lawsuit against the woman.

Yeah forget that. Nevermind. Last thing we need is controversy over a freaking punter.

PS: We absolutely need a punter though, so hope Howie grabs someone good from cuts.

Shows how pathetic SiPOS is. Released with no immediate replacement. For a super bowl contender you can't willingly punt away value on the punter position, so I'm happy they recognize he's not going to cut it.

I don't know if there's another, but the original situation is enough to keep most teams from signing him. It's an absolute mess. I'm very glad it turned out he wasn't involved in the act in question.

But the whole night is a mess. We'll never know what actually happened. And the girl was 17. Minors are still a line most teams won't cross. Even less will do it for a Punter.

Looking at the Eagles offense, they might not be punting that often. That being said, there’s gotta be some beer league kicker out there that’s better than the last clown.

Also, why does the punter need to be the holder? Couldn’t the backup QB handle that?

Punters have more time to practice holding than QBs do.

If your starting QB goes down you are then either forced to use your new starting QB as the holder or change the holder to the new backup QB, both of which are not ideal.

Also - Tony Romo.
