Faster than last year, but as dis-organized as ever. Errsson standing on his head.

- Power play looks just like the Flyers
- no one can stick handle (or they are having it coached out of them)
- so so so passive

Kinda surprised at just how many giveaways and offensive opportunities the Phantoms are giving up (well, maybe not, it is a Flyers affiliated team after all). The Bears are 2nd in the division but not exactly an offensive dynamo. They have the second least goals scored in the division and have had the offensive prowess of a nursing home for the last month or so. Still plenty of time for the Phantoms to come back because I've never seen a lead this Hershey team isn't happy to piss away.

And seconds after I post this, Wilson completes his hat trick and makes it 4-3... lol.

While that looked like a bone head play further analysis shows the Phantom's wing was playing behind the Hershey defender, i.e further from Ersson. How do you not try to front the defender? Probably because their sole break out play is the lob the puck down the ice so you are always trying to get a head start.

They really looked horrible, but I have to wonder how much is due to the bone head coach.

Briere is happy with the job Lappy is doing.

Lappy might be the worst coach in professional hockey, but he is one clever motherf***er. You have to be to stay employed with one organization this long despite NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER, delivering satisfactory results.

Ersson got exposed, this is why he's in the AHL, playing a lot of minutes.
Think he gave up 3 goals through the 5 hole, which suggests Hersey had scouted him and noted that weakness.
So he has the rest of the season to work on that aspect of his game.

All the defensemen looked a bit shaky, Zamula and Wylie especially, Attard flashed skill but two bad penalties.
Marody had a sweet pass to Wilson for the hattrick, if he could skate he'd be a heck of a NHL player.
Brink looks like he's not close to 100%, probably won't see the "real" Brink until TC.

They were coming off a five game winning streak with two of their best players absent for much of that time.
So I wouldn't put too much on one game against a team that has their number all season.
