Whether it's Gauthier or any other prospect, give more weight to the opinions with specificity and very little to the POINTS posts. I don't have either to be clear. I know nothing.

But when we're going to start discussing 2019 Wisconsin, that's up my wheelhouse. I know it's tempting to see Turcotte, Holloway, and K'Andre Miller then assume it was a stacked team. That program was an absolute mess. It was the year after that Wisconsin was actually good. This wasn't a mid-2010s Brandon situation.
And BC this year isn't a very talented team.
My comparison was simply a response to "why doesn't he score more?"
1.2 ppg as a freshman is pretty good, better on a bad team than say Michigan or Minnesota.

Caufield and Gauthier are apples and oranges, Caufield's whole value is goal scoring, whereas we'll need to see if Gauthier can contribute in other ways, especially on defense at center, given his size and speed.

If Coots is healthy enough to play next season, with Frost, Cates and Desnoyers here for next year to handle center, I’d be in favor of letting Gauthier take another season in college. No need to have him leave school in order to go to the Phantoms. Sign him a year from now.

BC lost last night, 1-0 in double OT. Season over.
So we'll see what Gauthier decides.

I chose BC because it was one of the highest [ranked] schools at the time when I was coming here. And you know, the culture behind the program - the winningest college hockey coach, Jerry York, was going to be the coach … but I’m happy with Greg Brown and how well he’s done with the school. I would say the biggest thing has been the culture behind BC Hockey - it’s a winning culture, and it’s such a beautiful city out here. There have been no complaints, it’s unreal.

Allison is going to play in the top 9 if healthy. That takes away one slot.

I think they want an extended look at Lemieux, they'll probably sign a couple veterans on 1 year deals for depth (you go through 14-15 forwards every year due to injuries), so they may be auditioning him for that role.

I think Bellows is on a short leash, but he's only 24, so they'll give him a shot.

They saw enough of Desnoyers and Foerster to give them a long look in TC, but I think they may want a stronger Phantoms team, depending on who will be playing with them. Andrae is a good bet to come over, not sure what will happen with Gauthier if he decides to turn pro, his college season is over.

Meanhwhile, now that they're healthy, Marody and Brooks are red hot.
With Ersson in goal, Phantoms could make a deep run with Foerster and Desnoyers back in the fold.

If they want an extended look at Lemieux then every single person fine with that needs to be fired right this second. They shouldn't be allowed to make a single additional decision.

Ratcliffe may still make it, tall guys do take longer to develop, but as a 4th liner.
He got a lot of PT and regressed, 168 AHL games,

But even last year, 59g, 8-14 22 at ES at age 22 doesn't scream future NHL star.
At some point you are what your game on ice says you are.

I'm told that if you ignore the examples of it happening, nobody ever does better after leaving the garbage Flyers "process"
What examples? Ghost got healthy. And he still was worth less at the TDL than 34 year old Braun.

Who else? Cousins? NAK on three teams in two years after leaving the Flyers? Myers, in the AHL on his third team? Patrick? Friedman?

Ah, you're going to do the thing where you pretend the things that prove you wrong aren't real.

And you're doing the thing where you blow smoke out of your butt b/c you can't support your assertions.

Actually, no. It has been supported repeatedly by numerous posters. But you do that thing where you ignore facts and reality to preserve the fantasy you've woven where the Flyers are well managed and nothing is their fault.

When you say "It has been supported repeatedly by numerous posters" but you can't actually give examples, that's BS at it's best. Much like DeMarco and his "scoops."

You already listed examples and then pretended they don't prove you wrong. Tell me why I should waste finger strength typing out the list for the hundredth time, if you're going to pretend reality isn't real? Why should I do that?

Ghost played so well he was worth less than 34 year old Braun (i.e. league knew those were padded stats).
The rest are in the AHL or a 4th line, most have been waived.

Ghost was healthy in 2021. After he was already healthy, the former GM that you spent four years fellating gave Arizona a 2nd and a 7th to take his contract, then used that cap space to trade a 1st, a 2nd and Hagg for Ristolainen, and the Flyers have the NHL's 29th best record since.

2021 1st #14
2022 2nd #36
Hagg - traded for 2022 6th #187
2022 7th #216
2023 2nd ~#39
Ghost - traded for 2026 3rd

That massive waste of assets and utter failure to be competitive afterwards, is one of many reasons he was shitcanned on Friday.

That's irrelevant. Ghost didn't suddenly "revive" his career in Arizona. He is what he was in Philly after 2017-18.
Washington got far more trading Gustaffson at the TDL, who they did revive into a top 4 D-man.
