4 points in 4 games so far.How has highly touted prospect Bellows been in the AHL
lots of promise
Maybe Fletch should have done that at the NHL level4 points in 4 games so far.
Anisimov has been lights out, and he's raised the game of Lycksell and Foerster.
Strange how adding a couple skilled players (by AHL standards) has a big impact on scoring. Who would have thought?
Stock Falling
Samu Tuomaala, RW, Jukurit (Philadelphia Flyers)
Nobody in Finland embodies the subtitle “stock falling” better than Samu Tuomaala. A second-round pick who started last season in the AHL, Tuomaala has bounced between different teams and levels ever since. This season, most of his games have been in the U20 league, which is something that wasn't on anyone's bingo card two years ago. What's even more perplexing is that he's not been dominating there, either, with just five points in 10 games.
Tuomaala's reliance on long-range shooting and outside lane drivers off the rush have yet to translate to the next level. After being loaned to Mestis recently, he did score five goals in his first two games. We'll see whether that proves to be a start of a new chapter in his career. At 19-years-old, there's still lots of time

Meanwhile, Toumaala continues to score in Metsis, 10g 10-5 15 +10.
This is what he should have done last year, play a whole season at an appropriate level, CHL, Metsis or Allsvenskan, develop his skill package and some confidence before jumping to a man's league.
Missed your previous post. A lot can happen in 11 days apparently. Guess his stock is up now! That's dated - Tuomaala now has 10 goals in 10 games in Metsis.
Well, he'll be gone, but Gauthier, Foerster and Brink may be here next season.Maybe Fletch should have done that at the NHL level

Do you know how many drafted players have played in Mestis this season -- I'm talking even suited up? Besides 46th overall Tuomaala, there are 6. Picks: #132 (2020), #184 (2021), #211 (2019), #199 (2022), #189 (2021), #204 (2019). Three 7th rounders, two 6th rounders, a 5th rounder. Three of those players have played 4 games combined; another, the 5th rounder, was an unsigned Canadian WHL player.
It is not a feeder league; there are 28 u21 drafted players in Liiga this season. Real prospects rarely play there, and if they do, it's usually in their age 16-17 seasons, sometimes in short stints. Tuomaala, almost 20, is the only one with an NHL contract (Chuck is always first in line), and it's quite likely none of those 6 will ever get one.
So, while it's better Tuomaala isn't doing shitty in Mestis too (though it could just be part heater), the point is: does it actually mean a thing in projecting him?
While this is a very rough estimate, this study has Mestis above the ECHL and the CHL and just below college hockey.Mestis is the professional version of a beer league. I believe it was the highest scoring Men's League, by a lot, when I last ran the numbers.

Not like the Flyers would know what to do with a 2nd round pick anywayGimme the 2nd rounder
