Well that was humbling. Probably good to lose those kinds of games now instead of in the playoffs. Well we gotta figure out how to get the puck out of our own end and also clear it into their end without icing the damn puck. A couple of unfortunate penalties cost us as well.

Good news is that we will get better once that Beck-Othmann-Hayes line gels.

I don't want to do the math on our win-loss record with Othmann. I don't.

Great game tonight! No doubt each team is still trying to find chemistry & structure at times with all the new additions.

Simpson is a helluva goalie. Hopefully, we meet again!

For his first game I thought Gauvreau was pretty good. I bet they will dress 7 dmen and 11 forwards that 4th line didn’t see a shift in the 4th period

Do Pete’s fans feel Connor Lockhart can be an NHL Player ?

What are his strengths and Weaknesses?? A Canucks fan is asking . I have been high on the kid since the Erie Otters drafted him 3rd overall in the OHL draft . Obviously losing his age 17 season definitely hurt his development but he is finally turning a corner this season and is playing to the standard I always knew he was capable of and the Pete’s have a great OHL program . I used to have seasons tickets to the Guelph Storm and went to university in London and then cheered for the Knights.

I remember the good old Eric and Jordan Staal days , Zach Kassian , Zach Bogosian , especially the legendary coach Dick Todd

Lockhart stands out some games more than others but is consistently a good skater, works hard and plays smart. He's on our top scoring line right now. Can he play in the NHL? That's a roll of the dice. He isn't very big but plays physical which helps his chances.

Agree with all of this. In this stretch of 4 home games following the TDL I’m glad they got Sarnia first…..the team needs to know that despite the talent level there is work to be done. Now they face Niagara, Kingston and Oshawa. These 3 games should allow them to create better chemistry as they face teams who have less talent.

From last night……..
- Zanetti is not flashy but they missed his steadiness on the back end last night.
- Gaudreau made some key saves when the Petes were in prime scoring positions.
- What a play by Avon on Robertson’s goal!
Del Mastro was all over Avon most of the night……JR will be glad that the Petes are done with the Sting for now……although Matier or Mintyukov won’t be a day at the beach.
- I feel bad for Purdeller as the 10th forward although he’ll move up if anyone in the top 9 gets injured….speaking of which, the Petes can’t afford a rash of injuries :crossfing

It’s important that the Petes don’t get too high or too low on themselves. It would be great if they finish 3rd so they face NB instead of Ottawa in the 2nd round but either way it won’t be easy and they just need to be rolling come playoff time.

I kind of saw that one coming. The Petes were due for a let down and didn't play their best game and Sarnia is a really good team. White had a tough night with some bad giveaways and a penalty all leading to goals.

I thought Stillman played a really strong game. It won't show on the scoresheet but he was very physical, was creating turnovers and playing physical all game long. This was a "playoff type" hockey game and I think we saw what he's going to bring as the games get tighter and why he's such a huge part of this team even after all the additions.

Gauvreau looks like a nice addition too, a strong steady physical game that again comes through more in these tight checking games. McCoy was strong as usual, leading the team in plus-minus for the game and the season. I saw some people suggest he should be traded before the deadline and I honestly wonder if they have ever watched the Petes play, he's so steady defensively. Agree the team is missing Zanetti right now.

I thought the Petes should have gotten more past Gaudreau, he was really fighting the puck, with some huge rebounds and he lost track of where it was on several occasions. Credit to the Sting D for clearing those chances away but I continue to not be impressed by him this season.

Beck was good in his debut, you see his strong skating and two way play. His line with Othmann and Avery has to be scoring in games like these and they didn't but it was their first game together and that chemistry will come. It was the first game together for a lot of the Sarnia lines too, so no slight to them intended there. I though Kyrou was once again outstanding, what a player he is. With all the stars on the Sting roster, he still stands out.

I do not want to face in NB ever-for whatever reason we cannot beat NB.
We have a mental block? Their coach ?
Whatever it is we can’t seem to win.
We haven’t beaten them since before 2019-

On the other hand -seems like we can beat Ottawa anytime we want

They did also jsut add the league's leading scorer and the league's best D-man. I'd rather NB. They're not as loaded, but still very good

Time to start a new win streak! Niagara, Kingston and Oshawa are the Petes next three home games so they need to take care off business there. Then its in Guelph (on TSN) and Owen Sound. Good chance for another streak here

At least local boy Nolan Burke scored the game winner in his likely last game at the PMC - a great thrill for Nolan, his family and friends. I mean if you have to lose that’s the best way to lose. It’s like when Hamilton beat the Petes earlier this season and Lucas Moore scored the game winner in a shootout.

Or when Tyler Deline got three assists and was first star for Flint vs Petes.

Hahahahaha.

The players wouldn’t be able to see straight because their eyes would have rolled to the back of their heads with a lot of what gets on here.

It would be classic though to even have ONE session and be a fly in the wall to see what is said. Would be epic!
Panware 2 goals 1assist Hamilton beats 67 lmao 67 s played dirty like always in Ottawa amazing how the get away with so many cheap shots?Dirty hockey club

And that’s the way we like it. IF you can’t beat them on the ice, you beat them in the alley!

The loss to Sarnia was disappointing but thank goodness the Petes didn't play tonight - Friday the 13th.
Crazy results....

Kingston 5 Sarnia 3
Guelph 6 London 3
Hamilton 4 Ottawa 3
Oshawa 5 Kitchener 2

You can add wolves 6 - Firebirds 4 to that list. Flint was up 4-1 after two.

Omg67 at it again for us. The third line scoring in back to back games. Gotta love it 😍
