Whats the risk? Messing with our teams killer instinct?
Love him or hate him he is a gamer that can get under the other teams skin.
Lightning Panthers and Burins have them in spades
Adding Perry with playoff Bert and Domi makes this team better suited for the playoffs

I really wanted to sign him instead of Jumbo Joe years ago (hated that signing) but I don’t want Perry now. He riles up Leaf fans but outside of one playoff game last year it looked like Cooper didn’t trust him at all.

Also, I can’t see him coming here. After all the secrecy with what happened with him in Chicago do we really believe he’d want to come to the place where the most reporters in the nhl would ask him about it?

On league minimum (pro-rated), it is almost worth just getting him to ride the pine instead of seeing him in the playoffs.

Whatever got Perry fired it was not criminal.

I would take him in a heartbeat for the 4th line and PP2 at a minimum salary.
He would be one less piece to have to give up an asset for loading up for the playoffs.

Yeah, I feel like Perry is exactly the kind of player you want on your 4th line for the playoffs. Not getting a ton of minutes at all, but able to chip in, some pp, hit, agitate, defensively responsible and won’t cost you likely beyond minimum.

Not gonna lie, Perry is a damn good fit for the Leafs. This team has a clear agenda for the playoffs and who better than Perry to re-shape the bottom 6 during the run? Perry, Bertuzzi, and Domi on the same team are pretty exciting.
