5 shots on goal so far, all by L1 lol…Sullivan really knows how to construct a lineup ..
Geno sitting in the room hearing the lines and hears L3 having better support than him like...

The Gen X team was way more fun to watch, if you were a lad in Pittsburgh wanting to get into hockey, watching them the last 3 seasons would make you a fan of the Flyers.

This team is like Mr 3000 where the team is ass but they fight to finish middle of the division while helping an old man achieve a statistical milestone. Except they’re white and its hockey
Imagine being Geno. Wants to stay and then realizes he's never going to get a fair shot even near the end of his career, started off hot with Rakell and even Bunting doing decent grinder work and suddenly he's with Hayes and Bemstrom. Both have a combined 9 goals, all Hayes.

To do a Pens legend that dirty is just heartbreaking to see when he's worked his ass off and has dealt with garbage wingers for the vast majority of his career.

Didn't realize Gryz was from Massachusetts. Now it makes sense why he wasn't traded. Sully isn't letting Dubas trade any Boston boys.

It seems like they’re trying to manufacture consent for a Grzelcyk extension.
Oh you know it's coming. A Masshole, they should have dealt him and could have gotten back at least two second round picks or a late first by a team. Instead they kept him for what? The resurgence next year? Lol.

That is what I didn't get about Dubas' moves today. Why bother keeping Gryz?

He's f***ing awful. 63+ giveaways, soft af. He's 31 on a team that should be getting younger and dumping 1yr contracts to maximize picks and assets.

He and graves are helping us get their replacement (Schaefer)

Again though….how bad are these guys if they have a new coach? Maybe they’re just dogshit instead of elephant shit

A new coach would not use the line up the same way and the change in systems as well as using youth would immediately change this team.

It's a huge difference with just that move. Look at the moves 3 gms have made to make this Sullivan's team. Absolute f***ing disaster mate.

And then maybe we wouldn’t have to flip five defensemen in the offseason.

This wasn't even rocket science for a coach to figure out the line up. Yeah less bodies but at best...

Rakell, Crosby, Rust - his default
Novak, Malkin, Tomasino
Heinen, Hayes, Bemstrom
Imama, Lizotte, Acciari

Novak is ass at faceoffs. He's a winger, he's never been good down the middle for how his game is. But I mean that's assuming Sullivan ever gives a shit about players' best usage.

“What happened to Kris Letang?”

I’ve been asking that for 18 years
Everyone knew that contract was going to age very poorly. He surprised us all last year but this drop off was not unexpected.

But remember, for all the bloke that question why Rakell wasn't moved and blokes saying because of Crosby, they literally kept Letang because of Crosby, love Sid but this franchise knee capped itself allowing a player to dictate things like this and a coach that panders to his line and f***s the lineup for it.

Also I absolutely don't get Imama up. Personally I love seeing a fellow black bloke on the roster but this coach whined having to use Reaves and then uses Imama this long? Bizarre af.

I was in the camp of trading Letang in like 2013. Always thought he had all the physical tools but had zero intelligence. Once age took over and he lost his speed, it was over. He’s a net negative for this team unlike Crosby and frankly unlike malkin. Like you said malkin just needs a half decent winger

I mean next year would it make a difference if the defense was?

Pickering, Karlsson
Kolyachonok, Letang
Graves/Shea/POJ, Timmins

If Sullivan is coaching, it's likely another lottery pick. If it's a new coach, we likely see some changes just based on raised intelligence behind the bench by subtraction.

All 3 behind the bench should be gone after the season ends.
