Obviously Sullivan wore out with this group 4-5 years ago but it’s even more important now that we get a coaching staff that is a little more.. fundamental.. if we’re going to be much younger.

Feels like we just need to cover the basics of D-zone play and coverage and neutral zone stuff. There’s really no point in even focusing on anything else if you are just completely out to lunch without the puck and in your own zone.

Ideally the coach is also young and has experience coaching young players, like maybe in major-juniors or the NCAA. Sullivan has none of those qualifications.

Granlund was never getting used properly and they should have held on to him imo, he was going through a brutal situation with divorce and his wife basically leaving him for a bloke she fell in love with online back in London that she left him for before meeting him in real life. He was a mess in Nashville and the Pens while Sullivan's idiotic usage didn't help.

Had a summer to sort his life out, came to the Sharks via trade and was back to normal.

Sullivan would never play him. Glad he's gone and can play his game of hockey. Nieto, etc. are all Sullivan hockey guys that's why he's ride or die with them. They literally can do no wrong.

Sullivan has his type of player... and he's only mad at Geno because he can't run 3 lines of his shit hockey style.
