You just gotta tune it out. Dubas isn't gonna say they're rebuilding because what fans still show up are probably gonna be turned off by the language and all that shit. It's the same nonsense as Sullivan saying he thinks Harkins has a sneaky good shot and how he liked a lot of how the team played following a 5-1 loss.

None of the shit these dummies say to the media matters. And if they're hellbent on trying to retool on the fly, it'll just blow up in their face and they'll learn from that the hard way I guess. This team's f***ing cooked, and no Marner mega deal is gonna change that imo. Gonna take a whole lot of hard work in shifting the focus to scouting, drafting and development, and a whole lotta luck in the guys they draft and/or trade for working out.

I don’t think they really choose their wording based on ticket sales. If the penguins lose, they’ll lose attendance. If they win, they’ll gain attendance. I think their focus is on trying to win. Their approach might not work but it’s what they feel is best. Hopefully they can open their eyes to the shit we’ve been saying.

Fine by me. I just wish Dubas and the Pens PR machine would shut the F up about "competing" next year. I'm gonna hurt myself from rolling my eyes so hard. This team isn't making a run unless Sid, Geno and Letang all wake up next year a decade younger.
Yeah stupid people doing their jobs! f*** em!

Idk if it’s because I’m six months younger than Sid so the realization that his career is almost over has launched me into a mid life crisis or if it’s the fact that this team is the only one in the city that is operating how they should….but I’m watching a ton of games. And hockey in general.

With that said it’s hard to feel good about determining a true direction while Sullivan is still behind the bench. Maybe they go like 3-14 the rest of the way and both sides agree to part ways. That would be ideal. But as we’ve said multiple times it’s hard to get too excited about drafting/trading/signing a competitive core if the same guy is coaching them.

Fair. To each their own too. I have so many other priorities [though they're not new ones] that making time for the games only to watch whatever the heck is out there has become (a year + ago) silly.

Me not watching is less boycott and more just straight up I'd rather be doing many, many other things. There's no excitement to it for me at least. I'm expecting maybe a Rust or Rakell decent play goal and a slow embarassing loss. No youngsters to sort of enjoy the development of...no goalie who has you thinking - wow maybe we'll compete behind him one day....and a top 6 that's just... a top 3 really with Geno getting all-time-low table scraps.

That said, I could purchase season tickets to some minor league franchise and not watch every game either. I like hockey a lot - but perhaps less than some who can sit through this sort of thing whilst enjoying it/not getting paid for it (scouting). Product is just awful to me. The 1/5 games for me is for Sid but even that's left me frustrated since the group isn't good enough for him to set up points for. Least not exciting points that I can't otherwise watch highlights for. Cheers,

Your sentiment is more realistic haha. I mean I have a daughter and recently changed jobs which forced me to be on leave for 30 days. So I’ve kinda fallen back into obsessively watching this team. They’re also the closest thing we have in this city to hope for the future as sad as that is to say.

It's more or less the fact that they think fans don't remember the last 2 seasons not including this one and see the same shit and the GM and other muppets telling them - "We will be competitive!"

Right, the Capitals found a way to blend youth and veterans and it started by parting ways with Laviolette and hiring Carbery. Pens PR dipshits think we don't know that Sullivan is not going to fix anything and it'll just be worse. You can't shuffle the deck with the same nitwit in charge and expect a miracle when the last 8+ seasons have shown us that he is not going to find a way back to being good again. He is why they won't.
