The Hawks would 100% get better than that from the Penguins.

Giroux hand-picked his location and still got Tippett and a 1st. Zucker, Blomqvist/Lindberg and POJ doesn't match that.
Yeah an equivalent would be Poulin or Pickering and a 1st. And we’d have to dump salary too.

Again, Pens dodged a bullet by not trading for Garland/Boeser/Miller. Garland has barely looked like an NHL player, Miller has been horrible and fighting with teamates, while Boeser is clearly not in shape. Boeser may be the worst player on the Canucks, he's playing like Kessel where's avoiding contact in corners and poorly pretending he's tired so he doesn't have to chase the puck.

I'd go after Garland, maybe Canucks can retain 950K so we get him at 4M. Everyone looks horrible when you are sucking. They can take McGinn and Blueger as the cap dumps plus whatever else it would cost. Although I dunno if Hextall would go for Garland, he seems to be adding size to the lineup (especially on D). I think if anything Hextall would ask for Mikheyev at 50% retained.

You can't dismiss them because a shit start in October.

Where is Garland going? He is RW

Rakell
Rust
Kap

Garland isnt what this team should be going after. They should not be adding another small forward especially right now.

Beats me, our top 6 is doing great. and like I said Hextall seems to be wanting to add size and Mikheyev is 6'3 and I have wanted him when he hit UFA but he would need some retention. He can help out the bottom 6.

The top 6 is going to cool off eventually, but yeah, the top 2 lines are not the problem for once, besides Sid looking like ass for 20 minutes a night.

OO interesting who slots in.

Gota imagine Poulin plays if he is getting called up. Takes McGinns spot on Line 3 maybe

theyll be an extra forward unless McGinn injured that wrist last night and is out…but not a good sign for Jake…my guess is Caggiula slots in for Jake but on L4 and Poulin is an extra

Heinen - Sid - Rakell
Zucker - Geno - Rust
Poulin - Carter - Kap
McGinn - Poehling - Archibald

Caggiula is extra to ride on the bench on a road trip. They cant have guys magical get to western canada over night if a player gets hurt.. If Jake isnt on LTIR and TB is thats a good sign for Jake

I wouldn't be surprised if Poulin is just up so the coaches can work with him a little more. I hope he plays, but wouldn't be surprised. Wouldn't be surprised if someone else is nursing a knock too and he's precautionary. But like that they like him.

Surprised that Smith didn't get a recall if Blueger went on LTIR.

Why would you recall smith to be on the bench? POJ has played well you dotn bench him either

I know I've just argued for him possibly being an extra but it is quite unusual for teams to call up prized prospects to do absolutely nothing.

Because they really like him and clearly saw him in their best lineup at the start of the season. Them backing POJ makes sense but at the same time, this does surprise me a little. It's not like backing POJ has been something the team's been that bothered by recently.

Not really because the Pens like to reward prospects for good play with a cup of coffee and a hardy well done lol…if they want to keep him at center then they have move Poehling off center and he’s played well, so why would you move Poehling mid-trip unless injury forced it…the only way I see Poulin slotting in is if another forward was injured last night that they’re just not telling us about lol

They are either trying to still sell POJ or like his progress. You dont bench him in either scenario. Him getting more confident raises his stock.

This team isnt struggle to score. Smith brings little extra right now.

Cup of coffee means playing, no?

I don't really know what to expect here. But most times a team recalls one of their major prospects, they play. I put nothing past this team, but most teams, they get games.

And putting nothing past this team means Poehling getting a promotion on the wing is easy to fathom.

Who knows? But it feels like a very different story than it was a few games ago.
